It is not often that the hype of a place lives up to the claims but Kawa Ni is one such place. You walk into a very vibey space with music, an open kitchen and a gong on the wall that they hit anytime anyone orders a beer with a sake shot. It honestly does a good job of transporting you at least a little bit to somewhere else. Kawa Ni was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. the service, ambiance and food was beyond amazing. Every detail was thought about in this restaurant down to real Japanese tea service. must try dishes are the addictive cabbage, Dan Dan noodles, crab fried rice, both scallop dishes and the truffle edamame are so addicting you just can't stop. We love happy hour here! Bowls of ramen for $12 and other snacks and drinks start at $5. The atmosphere is really beautiful and the service is top notch, with really creative cocktails. Our favorite dishes are the rice cakes, dumplings, broccoli salad, cold sesame noodles and the hamachi.Reservations are definitely needed though we walk in all the time for Happy Hour.
