Love the ambiance. No complaints with the service. A blessing these days. The host and waitress was attentive and sweet. The decor was fun and interesting to look at. The photos and artwork were a conversation piece. Now the food, the spicy noodles was on point. A new flavor I haven't tasted. I also enjoy the scallion pancakes and wings. I'm happy I decided to try this place out. Some people next to me ordered drinks and if I was in the mood to have alcohol, I would have definitely ordered a glass or two. This place is a must try, I don't think you'll regret it.

Service and atmosphere were great. We had the bao buns, spicy noodles, mala wings, and dumplings - everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

Absolutely LOVED everything! The service was fantastic, the decor was casual but cool, and the vibe was fun and energetic, but not loud-- so I am really glad I picked this place out for a little happy hour with a girlfriend to catch up over some drinks and apps. We both really enjoyed all the food we ordered. The chicken and pork belly bao buns were both phenomenal. The mala chicken wings were scrumptious and spicy (they were hot but they weren't "Thai" or "Indian" hot). And the scallion pancake was also great to pair with the wings (though I don't think I'd order them again--I'd probably opt to try something else on their menu instead). You order at the counter when you're ready and the food comes out relatively quick. The wings really weren't crazy spicy-- they were very manageable for someone with decent spice-tolerance, and the yummy thai basil ranch that it comes with helps tone it down too. While we were sitting in our booth, we saw a server carry a tray of the spicy noodles beside us and they looked amazing... so I'm pretty excited to try out all the other great things on their menu when I come back. Oh, and if you like tea, their Chrysanthemum tea is on point!

So obsessed with this place. Tried a few weeks ago with my bf and we are so hooked. The cocktails are amazing especially their version of the mai thai. HIGHLY recommend the beef noodles and scallion pancakes. Service is amazing and makes me want this to be my go to neighborhood spot. The place is so cute with the cutest mugs for each different drink. Go to MakFam you won't be disappointed.

MAKfam is my favorite restaurant that opened in Denver in 2023. With its NY roots that turned into a popular Avanti food stall, they've had years of refining flavors and favorites to bring them all together in MAKfam. This is probably the best Chinese restaurant in Denver. One of the cool parts with MAKfam is that you can eat here however you want. You can sit at the bar solo and get a couple things (pan fried dumplings and Shrimp XO fried rice would be my picks), or you can sit at a table and order a bunch of things family style, including scallion pancakes and mala wings. Everything is filled with flavor, and I've yet to find a dish that disappoints. Believe the hype. MAKfam is that good. Go at an off time to avoid the wait and enjoy a restaurant that's making a huge mark on the Denver food scene.

This is a hidden gem! The restaurant is cute, hip, and lively, with a great music selection. My friend and I sat at the bar quickly, but now I need to go back to try the entrees. We just got a couple of apps to share. Alex, the bartender, was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I got the espresso martini to drink. It was delicious. Everything we had to snack on was excellent! The wantons are a must! They come with a sauce that tastes similar to apple pie! It was sweet and savory in the best way. I got the pork bao bun, and it was so soft it melted in my mouth. We got the wings. They were meaty with crunchy skin. I was going to get the spicy noodles and fried rice, but I will have to save it for next time. I will be back! Make sure to stop by if you're on Broadway.

There's nothing on the menu that doesn't crush. From the MSGin to the wings to the dumplings it's spicy and super flavorful

The food is AMAZING. The few items I had that I was disappointed in was because everything else was top-notch, not because those items weren't good. It's definitely packed-in seating with not a ton of space to maneuver (if you need to go to the bathroom for example). It's also a mix of counter service and table service - you order at the bar and they deliver it to your table. The service was quite quick and the food was hot and fresh.Definitely expect a wait. We went on a Thursday in cold/snowy weather and they were still packed. It was only about ~30 min though so we found a bar for a quick cocktail

MAKfam is the best latest addition to the Baker Neighborhood! Before they opened their B&M, I enjoyed their dinner series feature at Novel Strand Brewing, their Novel Strand pop-ups, and their pop-ups during UMS. I will be a forever fan in whatever shape or form they take on! MAKfam's tradition-inspired cuisine is top-notch and I love the way they are combatting racist stereotypes around MSG by embracing MSG in their menu. Their wings are some of the best wings you'll find in Denver, their crab and cheese wontons are next level (I could drink the sauce), and their chicken and egg fried rice and shrimp XO fried rice are my go-to staples. Baker is ridiculously lucky to have Chef Kenny and Doris in the neighborhood.

I’m not quite sure the hype here. 1st gen Asian here and felt the baos and dumplings were average and catered to a western palate. The skins on the dumplings were really thick and everything was priced high and the quality/innovativeness just wasn’t there. Came with an open mind but if you’ve traveled to Asia or had San Fran/Bay area, LA, NYC, Seattle, Vancouver or Houston or dim sum at the only real dim sum place on Federal, you might be disappointed. We understand supply costs and labor are higher now and absolutely willing to pay higher but the flavor just wasn’t there for us.For 2 dumpling appetizers, 2 small chicken baos and a beer and iced tea we spent $58. Ended up going to our favorite “newish” noodle house 1 mile down street for rest of dinner.Service was good and attentive and place is small but cozy setting. To owners, would love to have seen the mala chicken in the baos instead of plain cubed chicken thighs (less mayo) in the baos and more pickled veggies. Maybe a crispy sticky tamarind glazed cauliflower or mushrooms in addition to the tofu baos? Add some seafood to the menu. The XO sauce was great but wasted on the dumplings. Maybe salt and peeper dried scallops with XO sauce? We’d be willing to give another try with revamp of menu.

Thank you Chef Ken!! We had the best authentic salt baked chicken rice, wun tun tong (wonton soup) & Mala chicken wings ever. Don’t forget to ask for their chili oil! Absolute flavor town ?❤️ we ate so fast and furious that there was nothing left to spare. Good thing we came early cos the crowd and parking got quite insane later. We will definitely be coming back for more?

The food was phenomenal. We got spicy noodles, salt and pepper tofu, scallion pancake, and another dish with skinny noodles. The spicy noodles were the standout, and the cocktails / mocktails also were top-notch in presentation and preparation. Solid service. My only complaint is the music was too loud, and the restaurant lacks acoustic treatment, so it's a chaotic cacophony of conversation and bass-heavy music.
