I made a birthday reservation at this restaurant & they turned out to not be open! Saturday night at 8pm, imagine my surprise when I get to the front door & it's closed... again for a birthday. Luckily D Bar across the street could get us in last minute.

This restaurant is closed It needs to be removed from your site. Both our group and another stood outside the restaurant with an incredulous look on our faces as not only was the reservation booked and accepted we received continuous reminders of the reservation.

We wanted a nice casual seafood dinner and got it!!! Manzo was perfectly what we wanted and more.personalized service for starters_ the owner took us through the menu and how fresh they source and store their seafood and his favorite dishes, the chef came out and gave us more info about the dishes and the special attention the veggies get? The dishes were very well done, oyster platter was so fresh, tuna poke was delicious, mussel pot had fresh fat mussels And side dishes were so fresh and wonderful Thank you for a memorable evening.

Such a cute place! The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Their oysters were flown in that day. They have an amazing happy hour! I highly recommend this place!

Not sure why this place has 4 stars? Christian the bar manager is the essence of hospitality. He was super personable, had fun creations, helpful suggestions for pairings, and was super knowledgable about his craft. The staff in it's entirety was super personable, both from the kitchen and the front of house staff, which is rare.As far as the food went, the oysters were superbly fresh and the peppercorn mignonette was delicious. The dishes were on point, hot, and the flavor profiles all were complimentary of one another.I suggest sitting at the bar for your first time and enjoying the ride. You'll be well taken care of. :)

I really struggled in posting this review but after consulting w friends in the business, they suggested I should. So here it goes....First time at Manzo's and we were really excited! We came for their First Annual All You Can Eat Oyster Fest. We prepaid as part of the promotional and at $75/head, that should be a lot of oysters! On March 24th I made a reservation for 6pm and got a confirmation email. On the 25th I got a confirmation text. On March 29th, I got an email that said they moved my reservation to 6:30. I didn't ask to move it. Someone else did. That's a first! 6:30 it is!!Service was horrible. We got to the restaurant at 6:35(street parking was rough) and waited a few minutes to be seated. We were directed to the lower end of the bar in front of a plexiglass wall of ice and a few plastic lobsters, oysters and mussels. We looked up and had a direct view down the bar to the kitchen window. We were told that when a place opened up we could move up to the main bar area. A few minutes after being seated, the hostess brought us the evening's 3-course pre fixed as well as the full restaurant menu and left. She did not introduce herself as our waiter. We soon realized this area had no assigned waitstaff. I asked the couple sitting next to us who our waitstaff person was and they said they were unsure and had been sitting there 45 minutes and were still waiting on drinks. Our drinks only took 30 minutes(!)On the floor were two waitstaff, the bartender and hostess. We realized the hostess was our server and was also manning the front door. Someone did come in and sat to our right and after 30 minutes of no one coming over, left. They were out of two of our first two wine choices so we picked a third. The hostess/waitress served it. Didn't have us taste it for spoilage...just poured it. 45 minutes later we got our first dozen assorted oysters plopped down with NO information on any of them. We were told they were alphabetical. (?) We waited for the second course. And waited and asked for another round of oysters in the interim. The second round came with no forks. No names. No arrangement on the ice. Just a dozen oysters all over the place. Meanwhile our plates are stacked to our right and just keep piling up. We noticed glassware and plates were piling up all over the restaurant. On the bar, on the tables. A lovely lady was at the end of the bar polishing glass wear...but no one was busing. The second course were French fries with a lobster bisque reduction and poutine. The flavor was delicious but must have been sitting under the lights for a while because the fries were soggy and, maybe that was poutine on the top, but it was melted and hard and the entire dish was only kind of warm. Regardless, we were so hungry we ate it. A while after that, a small bowl of steamed mussels appeared. A third of the mussel shells were empty. We ordered more oysters. The hostess/waitress asked which were our favorites (we didn't know because we never were told) so we just asked for 'the big ones'. The third round arrived, thrown on the plate (same variety as the first two plates, forget our choice) w no forks, no mignonette and one thin slice of lemon. I mean literally haphazardly on the plate. Not paired up. Just a few here...a few there....! Luckily(?) the other oyster plate hadn't been removed and we used our previous forks and squeezed the old lemon over the top. We asked for mignonette but never got it. The shucker must have been getting tired or they had someone else doing it because there was now a lot of shell fragments. Oh! I forgot! In between one round of oysters, we got one large unnamed oyster each with bacon jam. And it was DELICIOUS!! We think we were served part of the third course which was one mussel with some kind of weird green chili purée. All I tasted was purée. The flavor was weird, texture was weird, I didn't taste or feel the chew of any mussel. It was suppose to be passed with Oysters Rockefeller. We never got my favorite, the oysters Rockefeller....we kept ask

Loved it on my last visit & loved it again. Consistently superb seafood. Unique combinations. Wonderful Apps & main courses. Excellent wine and enjoyed the cheesecake too. Terrific dining experience from beginning to end. I'll be back for sure!

This is a very nice restaurant! The food was delicious but it did take a while to come out. However our server gave us a delicious appetizer to make up for the wait time, which we greatly appreciated. Beware the prosciutto wrapped scallops plate is pretty small and won't fill you up but it is still very tasty! We also ordered the Cioppino which was a 5 star meal. The head chef came out to see how our food was tasting which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Great cocktail recommendation from the server. The initial appetizer took a very long time as they were doing an Oyster event as well as regular dinner service. The chef came out to apologize and gave us extra food in the app (seafood junkie tower), which was much appreciated and delicious. The entrees then came out soon after and were delicious as well. I would definitely go back!

Attended oyster event. Restaurant was not prepared. Wait times between when we finished courses was 20minutes or more. Was not servers fault. Clearly the kitchen wasn't prepared. We were not there to over eat, but the pace of food was slow so value of event was not reasonable. Restaurant acknowledged problems but should have at least comped a few drinks.

This is a fun little place with delicious lobster for an incredibly reasonable price. After being asked to pay $105 for a small lobster at a pretentious seafood place downtown (we didn't), we happened on Manzo, where we had sweet whole lobster for an unheard of low price. Not only was our waitperson (Christian, who was likely the manager) knowledgeable about seafood, but he invited us back to see the sustainable lobster tank set up by a marine biologist. The chef is understandably proud of how the to-be-seafood is housed in the restaurant, and it shows up in the food. Can't wait to go back.

Food and service were both excellent. The muscles were delicious- maybe the best I've had in denver. Lobster roll also very tasty. We will be back. The only criticism is that the beet salad was light on beets and a bit overdressed for my taste.

Best first time experience. Christian was wonderful and explained a lot of the food menu and non-alcoholic drinks this establishment had to offer. I definitely recommend coming into this wonderful place. The steak was cooked perfectly. Oysters and crab cakes delicious. Check them out!!!

Overall, the portions were extremely small! I really didn't think the servings were commensurate with the price. I had oysters, crab cakes, scallops, salad and wine. I left there and went to another restaurant to get more food. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to Manzo.
