I’ve seen Penelope on Insta for a while and glad I finally went. It’s an open air small coffee shop in the Milk Market. The drinks were delicious and the employee was super friendly. He checked that we liked our drinks after first sips. I got a vanilla matcha and husband an espresso. Both were so smooth and delicious, I’d definitely go if I were in the area.Parking: There is street parking all around and the music garage 1 block north. Expect to walk 1-2 blocks to get to the market.

Such a cute coffee place with creative drinks located inside Free Market. Their standard drinks are great and they also have specialty drinks that change which are really creative and tasty. Highly recommend!

While in the area, I visited Penelope to have a coffee and do a little work from here. I ordered an espresso, which I really enjoyed. I ordered the chocolate croissant, which was delicious! The barista was super nice and brought the drinks over very quickly. I love this coffee bar and the cute building it is in with the other businesses. I sat at the coffee bar for a while to work on my computer, and it was the perfect spot for that! It was lively, bot not too noisy or distracting to get stuff done. I also love the cute tables around the corner if you need more space to work! When in the area again, I will definitely be back!

Caught up with a friend at @penelopecoffeebar, and I loved the Japanese minimalist vibe this shop had to offer. Their Irish coffee mocktail (soon to be off their menu) hit the spot on this chilly snow dayThe staff were extremely friendly and made tasty recommendations for drinks.

A coffee shop that actually cares about the product that they put out. They use ceremonial grade matcha and carefully make each espresso (weight, use a distribution tool, and tamp). Were also particular with making sure the steaming was done properly for each drink. Really impressed with it. Definitely worth a visit for quality espresso and matcha drinks. Thanks Phoebe and Matt!

It's an open concept cafe at the entrance of a mini shopping center. Nothing can beat a $4 cappuccino and others. Perfect for a quick caffeine

I've been a barista for 7 years and this is one of the best shops I've been to with the most knowledgeable barista and thd most passion about coffee.

Walked in for a coffee today with a coworker and we both got the chai ($5 for one size which I thought was reasonable compared to other places). We were the only ones there so had seating at the bar. Barista was quiet but friendly, and our drinks were served promptly. Really liked the amount of foam in the chai! Good depth of flavor with a slight kick.

While walking around the dairy block area and grabbing goodies from lodough bakery, we needed some coffee to accompany them! We tried this spot and the staff wasn't the friendliest. I haven't had a lot of the different types of offerings on the menu so when asking questions, I'd love to be educated more rather than met with a "are you serious" look. The sesame sipper was pretty good for trying something new but not something I'd get again. It's pretty pricey so I don't forsee myself returning after my initial experience.

We met friends from out of town here last week. Husband and I have been trying ‘mom and pop’ coffee shops all over the world since last summer and especially Colorado of course. This one has been on my list for over a year. I’m not sure how it got the moniker of Denver’s Most Romantic cuz it’s in an open market area… It’s literally just a counter as you walk in of the street. Anyway, the barista was bomb and all agreed their coffee was great. Husband and I get vanilla lattes so that we can compare one thing across the board and these were quite tasty. We got two. One of our friends got a cappuccino and it was his second, the others had theirs before we arrived. There is a lot of seating and we hung out for an hour or so. We didn’t eat anything and quite honestly, I didn’t even notice what they had. We hadn’t seen our friends since… well it’s been many years. We only had eyes and ears for each other in our short visit. The whole market is accessible and I would guess there is an elevator to access the loos which are in the basement (next to the speakeasy ?) however I, again, wasn’t paying attention to details.
