Looking at previous reviews, had really high hopes to try this. Ordered the sashimi sampler and 4 rolls. The “white tuna” aka escolar and albacore made up half the sampler and they were both completely inedible and not fresh. When we asked the hostess checked and came back and said “this was cut this morning”…unfortunately doesn’t speak to freshness or quality. Tuna was grainy. Salmon was fine.Rolls were fine but nothing special.Service was lackluster, worst ever received at a restaurant, water not refilled one time. Pay bill at front on the way out.Skip this and go anywhere else.

My first time tried Sawara Sushi!! Very very satisfied!! Great service, even greater food!! I would say one of the best sushi spot in Denver in terms of food quality, taste, presentation, and definitely service. Very kind and friendly server, and from the menus that we ordered, the rolls and the sashimi, they are amazing!! Totally recommending this place for sure and definitely will return for sushi craves for sure!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here for lunch with my sister. There was one other person eating in. I don't think our server knew how to serve and maybe they're used to pick ups. The service was bad, she sat at the front in her phone, didn't check in. We had to ask for a box after sitting for 15 minutes not eating looking around. We didn't want to be rude as she was nice. The sushi was okay, maybe we just ordered the wrong rolls. It wasn't bad though. Had to also ask for the check and to pay, we again waited and we weren't sure if maybe you just go up to pay? Over all I'd try then again but would order take out as they seemed busy for that.

Sawara is a quaint sushi place with friendly and welcoming staff! Their food is delicious and the prices won’t break the bank! Love this place!!Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately the door opens to a staircase that takes you to the dining area. I don’t know if they have a wheelchair lift.

Husband and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and while the food tasted alright, we ended up with some kind of food poisoning or parasite that kicked in in the middle of the night. I’m sure this is a rare occurrence but maybe don’t eat here on a Tuesday. Worth noting service was great!
