We ordered 2 items on the menu. The Mussels in a red broth, very common. It was so spicy, my friend could not eat it. She likes spicy but it was just so damn hot she lierally could not eat it. I ordered the broccoli and there were french fries piled on top, which it mentioned french fries, but It was over kill for a vegetable dish. Also, the Broccoli was over smothered in this soy sauce based sauce and it was way over kill. It states a sauce but the broccoli was swimming in this sauce and it over powered everything, and hate to think of the sodium level of this dish. Go lighter (much) on the sauces and back off some of the heat in mussel dish. Or offer different level of spiciness.

Great tequila and Mezcal selection. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their spirits menu and gave us a taste of a rare tequila we'd never seen anywhere else. We were visiting from out of town but would definitely be back if we lived in Denver!
Breakfast sandwich was like the Starbucks breakfast sandwich. Friends got sick from chilaquiles. 20% service fee is added, then we were told anything additional would go directly to server. Anything above 20% is egregious to suggest when everything was expensive as is.

Was seated immediately in the back alcove. Was quieter than the rest of restaurant so that was nice. Our server was prompt and engaging, got our drink order in. Shared suggestions of what to order/not order. Ended up bringing two wrong items during the dinner. Food was ok, nothing amazing. We enjoyed the spring cavatelli and carnitas. Octopus was overcooked and rice dried out. For the price, probably won't be visiting again.
We got lucky enough to make Happy Hour and ordered the mini queso and a seafood tostada. The queso was wonderful. The tostado left me craving another because it was so tasty. My server was incredible! She was super friendly, helpful and proactive. She made a dessert recommendation that I'd go back ten times for. It was El Snickers with cookie dough ice cream. The ice cream had large chunks of cooke dough. ?El Snickers worked in perfect harmony with the cookie dough ice cream. 10/10 recommend!

Very unfortunate that after having a lovely evening with delicious food we were informed that a 20% tip was included on the bill but this was for the back kitchen employees so we naturally would want to tip for the wait person and bartender but really felt we should have been informed in advance.

The food had nice touches: unique flavors blended into traditional fare, like a peanut sauce in the queso, pistachio in the guacamole. The carnitas were a big surprise, with the whole shank arriving. The mole was tasty and the mussels came in a savory tomato broth. The coconut rice was creamy with just a hint of sweetness.
Always have enjoyed the meals at Senior Bear. We ordered the Branzino and it came out too soon and just didn't seem like it was worth the $43. Also, there was a very loud and roudy group at the bar that ruined the whole experience. We couldn't even hear ourselves talk. Our waiter was very apologetic and annoyed as well. Not the experience we usually have there.

Ended up visiting after Nana's had a wait line down the street and I was pleasantly surprised! We had the most delicious coconut rice I've ever had, and an incredible seasonal fish dish. We sat outside and it was lovely. I recommend booking a table in advance because there is usually a wait!
This place is delicious. I'll be back here again. Good food cooked just right.

Brandon is the man! Incredible server and knows quite a bit about all things culinary / mixology. Knows how to pair a meal together to create a fun night with a spouse or friend. Highly recommend Senor Bear & Brandon! Happy hour is best around.
Brandon was FABULOUS! It’s my second time visiting the city and he did it justice!!Very knowledgeable about the menu and sold it! I asked him what his favorite thing is and I ordered it and was not disappointed!! I will be back! Thank you for being friendly and fun!

We stumbled across this gem just walking around Denver. The food was delicious and the price point was very reasonable. Must try if you're in the area, especially for brunch!

Food, drinks, atmosphere and service were spectacular! There were 4 of us and we shared the carrots, ceviche, ribs as starters, branzino and lamb shank for entrees, bread and coconut rice as sides, el snickers and churros for dessert. We also enjoyed the POG margarita. We will be back! ?
