We were first sat in a very claustrophobic, uncomfortable, and very dimely lit booth. We had to ask to be reseated somewhere else more comfortable and with better lighting.I ordered lobster and filet mingnon. The lobster was very tough and rubbery. The filet mingnon was rubbery and too fatty. Everything was bland and very oily. The food and service at Eddie V's is much, much better, in my opinion. I'm not sure what all the hype of Shannahans's is all about.I took my wife to Eddie V's for her birthday, and they provided a nice private room and decorated the table for her birthday and they even had a card on the table and sang her happy birthday. Shannahans's did none of that for my birthday here on this visit.

Another fabulous experience. My wife and I had requested our favorite waiter but he was not working that evening, Lane, one of the mangers (and cannot be more accommodating) set us up with Daniel...:and what a equally wonderful ambassador he is for Shanahan's as David. Champagne, Oysters, shared a Caesar and split the 16oz NY Strip Oscar style. I cannot recall having a better meal.

Everything was absolutely amazing in every way possible! You get huge portions of everything. The s'mores brownie is amazing and the fries are the biggest portion of fries I have ever seen in my entire life! Not even exaggerating when I say the plate of fries they give you (if you order them of course) is 1 foot tall...

Overall experience was great. The only issue we had was that we were seated 45 minutes after the time of our reservations. We made that known to our server who was outstanding. They still get 5 stars because sometimes things just happen and they made up for it by comping our drinks and dessert. The food was amazing and the service was perfect.

Delicious food in an atmosphere mixed between fine dining and high end bar. Also had a trout that was perfectly made. Feel a bit barbaric to eat fish with a steak knife :-) but its worth it ….. Will return if there is an opportunity and would certainly recommend it.

Celebrated our son’s and daughter in law’s ‘Welcome Dinner’ together with 68 guests in Shanahan’s private dining rooms this past w/end. Perfect scores all around!!!!! Can’t ‘thank’ the staff enough for making our milestone event such a success.. Special mention to Milli for her creative work and guidance,,, thank you!!

My wife and I recently dined at Shanahan Steakhouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it was a night we’d rather forget. Despite making reservations months in advance, our experience fell far short of expectations. From the moment we were seated, our waiter, Seth, treated us with disdain, speaking down to us as if we were clueless about steak preferences. Despite clearly stating our desired cooking preferences, Seth continuously pushed a recommendation we did not want, making us feel uncomfortable and patronized.Even worse, when we mentioned to the manager that we were celebrating our recent nuptials, he assured us of something special to mark the occasion. However, this promise was promptly forgotten, leaving us feeling disappointed and undervalued as customers. To add insult to injury, the final bill of $210 reflected not only the lackluster service but also the disregard for our special celebration. Despite expressing our disappointment, the manager’s attempt to make amends with a superficial gesture fell flat.Overall, our experience at Shanahan Steakhouse was nothing short of disappointing. We had hoped for a memorable celebration but left feeling disrespected and unappreciated. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon.

We had a great experience here. The food was delicious, the service was great, and everything was very nice. The music for dinner was fairly loud and was a variety of pop/party which was surprising and not what we expected.

Shanahan's is one of our favorite places. We were a little disappointed this time that seats at the actual bar were reserved, seemed strange to keep open seats while others were waiting to get a drink. We also had two large parties next to us with young kids that were loud and moving around. Not the high end experience we are use to.

Staff was incredibly friendly. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the Australian Waygu. We split the baked sweet potato and garlic mashed potatoes, and finished with the smores brownie. My wife and I both think it's the best steak and lamb chops we've ever had. Wine list was large and had many wonderful options on it. When we come back into town, we will be eating here again.

Had a wonderful experience at Shanahan's for a much needed girls' night. The bread bowl had fresh bread paired with butter with pink Himalayan salt. Delicious! My friend had steak and I had Chilean Sea Bass. Her steak was cooked to perfection and my sea bass was almost buttery had delightful umami. Service was outstanding! Our server made good recommendations and the valet was top notch. They pulled up my friend's car when they saw us checking out. Impressed!

Easily my favorite upscale steakhouse. Hubby and I moved away from Denver but miss it as our celebration place: birthdays, anniversaries, job promotions, etc. I still crave the chopped salad after 4 years.Hubby and I make it our mission to try many upscale steak restaurants but nothing in various cities or states has beat Shanahan’s. One time we had to wait past our reservation time so they gave us a complimentary appetizer. We chose the shrimp, and wow - got it every visit after that. Courses were always timed corrected, steak was cooked to perfection. We haven’t found a place to match Shanahan’s quality.

We visited on Friday and had to come back once more before we left Denver!! We came for prime rib, but they were out, however our meal was still delicious! Scott and the manager both provided outstanding service. We will be back again next year!
