This happened while it was still called Slashers. Not sure if they got new management or something with the name change but wanted to express this anyway.Owner/manager would rather sit on the couch on the other side of the bar and hit on any woman that walks in than do anything short of work. Tried to hit on my girlfriend and when I called him out he kicked me out and banned me from the bar. Don’t go here.

This heartbreak after losing what made Slashers great is the only honest thing left about whatever Heartbreak Kid is. Trash bar.

While this isn't the horror themed bar we were expecting, it's amazing nonetheless. The vibe is more older emo/millenial. The place is dark with curtains, bottles, skulls, and other assorted knick knacks illuminated by candles. I loved how all the TV's are playing everyone's favorite movies from the 80s and 90s. There's also a hidden arcade in the back with some great posters and a white claw machine. The staff is very kind and make some fantastic drinks. We got the unicorn magic fizz, and I'm still thinking about how cute it was. Can't wait to come here again!

Came here from out of town and had the best time. Music was great and the bartenders put on Heavy Metal. I think the locals a little salty

January 2023 this bar was rad. Went at the end of August 2023 and it had significantly declined. The drink menu was tiny and not good at all. The only good drink was the bees knees. Gin based with a strawberry puree. Went back tonight (new years day 2024) at closer to 5:30 pm and they were closed. No sign saying they opened later. No Instagram or Facebook post saying they opened later. Just 3 people inside motioning that they were closed. Slashers is not worth going to at this point. The movies and atmosphere are cool but the lack luster menu isn't worth the price. Hard pass.

Had a phenomenal time here until the sloppily drunk bartender/ DJ bear-hugged my friend from behind and proceeded to throw a tantrum after being called out. The ambience was killer and chill with music you wouldn't hear in any other establishment, extremely pleasant staff (save 1), and well-balanced drinks. I walked through the door and immediately felt at home. Would go again in a heartbeat but walk straight out if saw the toddler still worked there-- Definition of a liability

This is no longer the Slashers bar I fell in love with. It's completely different so much so that they should consider changing their name. The vibe was completely different and totally sucked. The bartenders were whatever and not friendly like the old crew. All the cool spooky horror decor was gone and replaced with silly boudoir items and lights and curtains. Everthing was super spaced out and just plain weird. The music was awful. I'm not coming to a so-called horror bar to listen to gangster rap. Only 1 tv was playing a horror movie.. Everything about this remodel sucked. I used to be a regular here and loved how different this place was compared to other bars, but I'm sorry to say I'm done with this place. Never coming back and neither is my regular crew. RIP Slashers. :(

Cool dive bar in Denver! The bartenders were fun and the drinks were good and got the job done! Loved the horror movies playing on the TVs and the ambiance was perfect!

A laid back dive bar. Had horror movies playing on all screens and a great dark ambiance to the bar. The cocktails were definitely unique and worth checking out. There's a back room with a few arcade games and a pool table. Definitely a cozy place to hangout with friends and enjoy some lore together.

My friends and I went in there recently after the remodel. We immediately noticed the vibe was different, the place doesn't look like it's fun spooky self, and the entire staff is new. They changed the menu too. There was a DJ playing house music and it was so loud I couldn't hear my friends. It's supposed to be a dive bar not a club. My friends and I all looked at eachother and agreed the place is now lame. We have been coming to this bar back when it was Horror Bar and watched it go through new management and 3 remodels. Getting worse every time. This time we don't think we'll be back especially after finding out they fired the entire staff. The staff kept the fun during the changes and now that they're gone and the bar is no longer spooky with no horror movie showings or blood bath shots I think we're done. Time too look for a new one. The Devils Drink looked like fun lmao

Rad little bar that offers a taste of Halloween all year round. Great cocktails, atmosphere and staff.

Ordered one of their cocktails on their menu. The guy just pours me a vodka soda, the drink says it has appoerol in it. I question it. Then the guy rolls his eyes and makes a tequila cranberry. Like I cant see him only pour two ingredients in the glass. After I close out. Later i ask for a shot of Jameson he says we don't have it. Should have been my que to leave since the bottle is sitting plane as day on the shelf. I point to the bottle and get more attitude. Not sure why I tipped 20% but I'm not going back. Absolutely garbage.

Editing my review after the owner fired staff with 0 prior notice and decided to change the theme of the bar. Go to better options down the street. The owner has no business sense or common human decency.Responding to the owner responses on other negative reviews: You've been in business since at least Oct 2021 operating as Slashers. Horror bar stopped existing around Jun/Jul 2021, which is when you would've assumed control. Good to know that you pay such little attention to your businesses you can't even recall how long you've been in operation. Keep lying, your licenses are public record.

Editing my review. Used to love watching horror movies at Slashers - what a shame. In response to who commented on this: I was a regular patron on Sundays when movies were planned and played with volume. The planned out and timed movies were a huge draw. Being able to watch the movie throughout the bar with sound is what I was referring to, thanks!

The Horror Bar, Slashers, was by far one of the coolest bars I've been in! Loved the look and the service! I will definitely go again and again!!
