Saddest, blandest, and one of the most expensive sandwiches I’ve ever had. Bread wasn’t toasted or warmed up. It tasted day-old. Sandwich was so bland and flavorless that I asked for salt. They didn’t have any. Nor do they have any condiments, so couldn’t add mustard or anything to help with the flavor. Spent $40 on 2 sandwiches, 1/2 of which we threw away because it was so sad. Don’t bother going here.

Big fan of the Denver Chopped Cheese... was sitting outside recently on a 70 degree day with a sandwich, a cold beer, and jazz on the speakers, and it was basically heaven.

Super delicious and fresh! Will definitely be back! Different than an NYC bodega chopped cheese, but fantastic nonetheless!

I've stopped in a few times since they opened. They have five sandwiches, of which two I've tried and really liked. The Chopped beef and the Italian. Both a large sandwich worth the price ($15 - tax/tip included). The location is off an alley and between some buildings; making it a fun visit. Super nice staff and owners.

Had an awesome sausage and sweet pepper and onion hoagie from Duke's this evening. Really delicious! Bread was fresh and warm and high quality Italian sausage. Will be going back soon for another one!

Stopped at Duke's because I saw a sign on the corner saying they had the original Denver chopped cheese sandwich. I'm a native and had no clue what this was so knew I had to try it. Ordered one chopped cheese sandwich with added giardiniera. Turns out a Denver chopped cheese is similar to a Philly. It was really good and I highly recommend getting it with the giardiniera although I wish that was just a touch hotter. It's just a small outdoor venue with great seating so would be perfect after a night out.The owner came out and talked to us and told us the story of how she and her husband were in Harlem and had a similar sandwich that was more like a deconstructed hamburger so they decided to create their own Denver version. Super sweet woman! My only complaint is that the sandwich itself is a little pricey for what you get BUT their drink menu was nicely priced. Water for $1.50? Seltzer for $4.50? You can't find that anywhere. Definitely going to stop back and get another chopped beef and maybe try a different sandwich as well.

The Chopped Cheese sandwich is fantastic! I'm from NY, but I've never heard of a chopped cheese, so I was intrigued to say the least. It was amazing. Somewhere between a deconstructed burger and Philly cheese steak, this sandwich is a unique creation and delicious. Try it with and without the giardiniera. It's worth mentioning the outstanding bread here - a sandwich can't be great without great bread. 5 stars for the bread!I really enjoyed the locally sourced homemade chips and sodas. Try the sweet & spicy chips. You've never tried chips like these before! I appreciate the owners bringing unique, local options to the menu. The owners are super-friendly too! I had fun talking with them on both of my visits. Can't wait to come back to try the other sandwiches. The meatball is up next...

I called and order to pick up The Denver chopped cheese sandwich with beef and cheese. The giardiniera was offered on the side and I was told it really does something for the sandwich. Well, it does because the sandwich is so bland. Don't get me wrong, it's a good sandwich, but it's Hella greasy ! The giardiniera didn't help either because it has oil in it. So, I had a buttered roll with hamburger that wasn't totally strained from its grease with mayonnaise which has oil and giardiniera which has oil. My car was a mess. If you like this kind of sandwich then; hats off to you ! Just make sure you eat it there or at home because this is not a lap sandwich. Çiao !!!

Before I get negative this place does have great out door set up, super friendly staff, great walk up set up, and decent sando's. You get a great community atmosphere. If you have had sando's in places like NYC, SF, Portland, and Chicago then you will know that this place is at best 3 star out of 5 stars. The giardiniera was flavorful but needs to be spicy. My major concern is that the price does not fit these sando's. A $16.50 sando should make that sando stand out when compared to other sando's. For this price why not go to Lou's Italian Specialties and Curtis Park Delicatessen (these places are in 5 points too). These are good average sandwiches, just not $16.50 good. I will come back because I do love the atmosphere and want to help small community businesses.3 stars for food5 stars for atmosphère =4 stars

DELICIOUS! Ordinarily, I would not order a chopped cheese sandwich, but this sandwich is SO good. My partner and I shared a sandwich (+ giardiniera), and an order of sweet & salty chips (also, OMG good) and it made the perfect lunch for both of us. I will admit tho, if the other half of that sandwich had been there, I would have eaten it all!We couldn't resist a stop in the bakery after lunch. We took a couple of cupcakes...also delicious. Next time, made-to-order cannolis. The owners and staff are amazing and fun to engage with. We are so excited to have a new, yummy lunch place in Five Points. Welcome to the neighborhood!
