I can't believe someone vandalized the hallway leading to The Aztlan Theater. It broke my heart in two. It happened a couple nights ago, right before the Art Walk it seemed, "Boy, if I fond out whoever did it..!" Best wishes to Timeo, Aurora, Fernando, Angelica and everybody that keeps the place running!

For the first Friday art walk, we stood in line behind other people being served for a while. Got up to the bar and the bartender 'eventually' told me and another patron that "there's a line" and then laughed at us. This was literally after serving two of our friends in front of us. So definitely didn't give them our business. Won't go back. Seemed like some cool vibes so unfortunate that they don't do a better job at managing the bar.

This is one fun bar!!!! It is apparently only open for First Fridays. When I went for First Friday they had a really awesome live band (blues/rock). There was lots of dancing and a big crowd. It didn't take too long to get drinks even for how busy it was. The bartenders (also the owners of the bar and theatre) were really awesome people! Talked to them for a while about some of the amazing bands they have had play at the theatre in the past. They are hoping to re-open it again in the future for big shows. Drinks are nice and cheap...not a ton of options though. But hey, this is more of a divey feel bar so that makes perfect sense!

The First Friday of every month year-round is just the best. The house band plays some of the best blues in the city. How these cats have not been discovered is beyond me. So stop in, have a beer and grin your face tired.
