We had high hopes for this after researching good restaurants in the area. Atmosphere was fantastic….until they isolated us near the windows street side. That took away all of the magic. We were behind a plastic partition so couldn’t see the live music, or enjoy the trees.Service was mediocre. Took about 15 minutes for someone to greet us and provide water. Food was super underwhelming. I had a jalapeño popper burger that was seriously lacking. Cold truffle fries (which I’d be happy to pay the extra for if they were hot) and waaaayyyy too many onions on the loaded fries. The chicken tenders are frozen. Wings were also just ok-served with some really sad carrot sticks and one stick of celery. Food needed help badly. The atmosphere can only carry you so far-IF you get a good seat. Won’t return. There is too much good food in Durango for this place to compete with.
Lack of a kids menu should have been a sign…They definitely didn’t seem to want kids there. Sat us and another family with small kids at a high top tables and brought a standard height high chair, so we had to eat with kiddos in our laps. No kids cups, so had to try and ensure our kids didn’t break the giant glasses.Vibe was super cool and food was great. Just wish they considered families.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

This place was awesome! The vibes and atmosphere were amazing! The waiter was so nice and helpful. It was super cold sitting right by the front door. I had to eat with my coat on lol. The cocktail menu is almost overwhelming… almost! We had a few different ones with the recommendation from our waiter and he didn’t disappoint! The appetizers were the best thing we had! The southwest egg rolls were the best we ever had! The cheese curds and cheese fries. The only thing that lacked at this place was the tacos. I tried 2 different ones in a lettuce wrap and my sister had 4 different ones. They did not have the best flavor. My kids ordered a burger and it was just an ok burger. My husband however loved the flatbread pizza he ordered!

It was worth the wait in time to get our food. I had been suggested this restaurant by a customer and was glad I stopped by. The atmosphere was great, there were fake trees inside with lights and it was gorgeous. The tables were secluded and had nice chairs to sit on. I noticed an outdoor patio in the back and think I'll sit there next time just to try it out. The menu had a variety of drink options from Alice in wonderland themed to witchy themed all with creative names. I ended up ordering an IPA on tap by the suggestion of the waitress and I was not disappointed. My food ended up coming out before my beer but I had water in the meantime(the menu did warn about the wait for items, so I wasn't too aggravated). I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich on a brioche bun and a side of coleslaw which was delicious! Though the items took longer than the normal wait time, the waitress seemed to be on top of her game.Will definitely return for another date night :)
My first visit here was about 3 years ago, I was on a solo trip and stumbled upon the Derailed Pour House solely because of photos I saw in other reviews. It was an amazing experience! The staff were awesome and polite, the food delightful, and the drinks hit just right! Later in the evening the owner came over to say hello and chat about my experience. We visited for several minutes, she really cared about her business and customer's experience. I was left with such a positive impression that I would talk about it regularly to my partner over the years.A few years later, my partner and I planned a trip to Durango and I finally got to introduce him to the Derailed Pour House this past Christmas! The experience was just as I remembered; the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the live music very pleasant to listen to, and of course the food, drinks, and staff just as amazing as I had remembered.We will certainly be back!

Stumbled upon this place on vacation while walking on Main Street. The vibe here is super unique, interesting and cool. They have a large craft cocktail menu, with house made syrups, flavoring etc. The food and service were also fantastic. We shared the chicken caprese with truffle fries, and the arugula goat cheese flatbread. If you want something other than a run of the mill restaurant, this is your place.
