Great spot in downtown Durango. We stopped in on a Saturday night on our way through town. Had a short wait for a table, service was great. I had the pulled pork chimichanga, which was out of this world. Hubby had the cod entrée, which he really enjoyed.

5 star to me, great price for such excellent food. Drinks were great, food was great. Try prime rib or steak. Some type of land animal. Don't be afraid to splurge.

The food was excellent. Kelly, our server, was very attentive and prompt without being overbearing. We enjoyed some of the specials (appetizer, dessert) being featured for Valentine's week.

Me and my wife had very good overall experience for Valentines. Had the meatloaf which I really enjoyed. Wife is a light eater and had the bang bang shrimp over an avacado salad. The salad was delicious and interesting. The prices were very reasonable for what we had. Also had a good martini and a glass of Josh wine.

Their Roast Beef meal doesn't disappoint! Just great! They have very good service and a decent menu including some really cool speciality cocktails. Not much vibe but it's sort of an OG place .. the bar is sort of vibey?

This is a very good restaurant with a wide menu, entrees, sandwiches, salads, all the choices you would care to make. Service was prompt, the fried potatoes with my salmon burger. My friend had the tasty potato skins, a favorite. It is centrally located, friendly and relaxed.

The Roost was just ok. We were seated at a small cramped table despite having a reservation and the restaurant being quite empty. When my husband asked for a larger table the hostess said, "There's just 2 of you right?" We were not offered a different table. We ordered a bottle of white wine; the server came back to our table and said their wine cooler was broken, and the only bottle of chilled Chardonnay they had was a $70 bottle, twice the price of the one we ordered. When we decided to go elsewhere for dinner, suddenly they had 2 additional chilled Chardonnays of comparable price to the one we ordered. Not sure if that was intentional, or an oversight... The food was very average, not great not bad.

Abby the bartender is one of the laziest, rude, and disrespectful people I have delt with at a restaurant. My drink took an extreme amount of time and when it came out it was less then mediocre.

A music themed fine dining experience! Chef has done an amazing job bringing high scale meals with an affordable price tag. DO NOT MISS THE WEEKLY SPECIALS, they're amazing.

We had an enjoyable evening at the Roost to check out the prime rib offering. The seating area is themed with concert posters and music history. The wait staff was excellent and the bar looked lively while we were there. The restaurant adjoins the Animas City Theatre which hosts many music productions and getting dinner prior to the concert is common. My salad with coconut shrimp was very good; the prime rib was tasty and served with mashed potatoes and green beans and plenty of horseradish. We will return for dinner and take guests there as well. A solid restaurant choice.

Very good food at a good price! The ambience could use an upgrade. Our server did a great job and worked very hard, but it seemed like they were short-staffed. We are Durango locals and have had consistently good food here!

We didn’t have a reservation and The Roost was very busy but Abby, the manager, sat us at the bar and made our dinner experience wonderful! They also made room for a party of 14 last minute. Go eat here the food was amazing!

If you can’t get into cuckoos then go here! This place is a little big of a nicer version of a great chicken place around the corner, you can get great chicken (which is what I would recommend, also the potato skins are good if you get a good batch) watch some TV and it’s fast! There is usually not a waiting problem especially if you make reservations. Although the prices are higher we have had great service and great food!Parking: If you park around the corner in the place where you park for the train station then there are usually a few places and it’s free. (Go down by where there are stairs right by the restaurant)Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly
