Surprised to find a great sushi spot in Edwards! Rolls were excellently built and presented. Sashimi was generously portioned and just incredible. Everyone enjoyed every single item ordered from the soup to the array of sushi. Even the vegetable tempura was great. Normally that's for the kids and all of us were fighting over it! Hit it up and enjoy!

Satos is our favorite valley sushi...except Matsuhisa on a special night. The ladies working there are extremely friendly and helpful in selecting the best rolls and drinks. I love the atmosphere, very calming.

Mediocre at best. Sato has consistently gone downhill over the years. Service was less than great as well. Many other sushi options in the area and I would chose any and all over Sato. Also, how does a sushi restaurant run out of cucumbers?!‍ Save your money and go elsewhere!

food little salty that being said food service was horrible did not feel welcome at this place felt rushed with our food when it got to our table it wasn't busy at all clearly then one of our server who came and got our plate made me felt even more rushed by yelling to ask if we were done yet alone her experience with that place for 16 years shows that for sure will not be coming back to that place yet alone felt discriminated by how front of the house kept looking while we were eating yet alone i felt that my husband had to be my own server cause clearly from the beginning were told of nothing not about specials or drinks or water to begin with yet alone how it was a nice day and shades were down it could of brightened up the place a little felt depressed kinda being in their is how it felt .

Love this place! As a 25+ year "local" I cannot any say enough good things about Sato! The ambiance is cozy and staff is always very accommodating! And whil the menu has changed over the years, there's something for everyone (including those with an adversion to raw fish) from noodle bowls to baby back ribs. So glad that we have this little spot in our valley.

I had Christmas dinner here in 2022. It was a lovely meal. Pricey for sure - but that's what you get when you're looking for quality, the kind of ingredients they're using, and dining in the Vail Valley. I have dietary restrictions due to medical issues, and they were happy to accommodate me, and did so wonderfully. Service was a bit slow, but we were checking in on constantly, and the waitress was lovely. All of the sushi was delicious, and the white chocolate bread pudding was to die for.Dietary restrictions: Good options for gluten free, and vegetarian diners.

Great sushi! A lot of different options. Service was very good. The atmosphere was somewhat sparse.

the sushi is good but they have THE smallest rolls in the Valley... way overpriced !!! This in reference to a to-go order.

My family and I don't get out much these days due to a medical issue. Last night I felt great and wanted a night with the family so chose Sato's for sushi and and entree for myself. I initially placed an order for a half rack of ribs entree and asked the server to return to pick up my wife's and kids sushi order. She told me the ribs come out very quickly so to just wait to place the order along with the sushi. Okay, no problem. We decide on our sushi and place the order. The server repeats the order along with the half rack of ribs. We get our appetizers, then wait roughly 45-50 minutes for sushi. Sushi arrives and we're eating and I'm waiting but the server only came back around after the sushi is done. Keep in mind we've been in the restaurant about 1 1/2 hours with 2 young children who are done sitting. The server finally returns and we ask about my entree. There's no apology initially and she blames the kitchen. This is my biggest pet peeve. As a restaurant manager for nearly 20 years it's obvious she forgot to enter my entree into the system. Then instead of acknowledging her error she blames the kitchen. That is unacceptable. The server finally apologized for the error and stated it happened because they're short staffed. I get it. We're all short staffed but that doesn't mean we can blame others for our mistakes. Anyway I went home and ate leftovers and made the best of the night but will not be returning to Sato's. As a local it's just disappointing spending nearly $200 and not even getting to eat the entree I ordered.

The food is really good but the service is not good at all. Our waitress could care less and the other wonderful servers saved the day.
