We were in town on vacation and happened to be there the weekend that The Wizard of OZ was playing. The staff was super friendly. You are given a choice of a newer seat or a seat original to the building. They have cushions to make the older seats more comfortable. The sound and picture were both great. Definitely recommend supporting this amazing establishment!

Aptly named, the Historic Park Theater was built in 1913 and is the oldest operating cinema in the western US (thank you, Wikipedia). We didn't know any of this when we made a spontaneous decision to watch "The Shining" here in October. I had an amazing time at the Historic Park Theater watching the football game last night! It was such a unique and special experience to watch the game in a historic theater. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone was having a great time.The concessions were reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. I had the popcorn and it was perfect. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.I would highly recommend watching a football game at the Historic Park Theater to anyone....read full review
