I'm a big fan of the Aspen Grille, a CSU student-run restaurant located in the Lory Student Center (room 388). This restaurant is a learning lab for the hospitality management students. They learn everything how to manage a restaurant from food prep, cooking, and serving - so cool! Pictured here is the salmon poke bowl. It was delicious!

This is a cool place to meet a friend on campus for a bite to eat. The menu is pretty small, the staff don't necessarily strike me as having experiences as a host/wait staff. Which is totally okay because its a group of students and this is their class which I think is awesome. 2 types of wine, 2 types of beer. Selection is minimal but great prices! Ill probably go back and hope for slightly better!

The website did not clearly state how the food is paid for, as well as no clear menu to know what you could order the day of your reservation. But the food was very good although it was kind of cold.

Marina was amazing. Her smile was contagious the food was ok but her customer service was above and beyond. I saw her later that day walking home from campus and she was rescuing a kitten stuck in a tree. Wow. Amazing. Two days later I saw her stop an armed robbery with a slingshot and 3 marbles. Expert Marksmanship.

A great experience at Aspen Grille at CSU. Students were very friendly, food was good and a great value. We were on campus visiting our student but don't hesitate to dine there as a local choice!

Service seemed a little "proper". It felt like I was some place super fancy. I wish the wait staff was a little more attentive and a tad bit friendlier and didn't seem so awkward, BUT I do understand that it's a classroom and learning experience. Overall the food was true to the flavors that I was raised on, I went during the APIDA Filipino food special.

Top notch service and food. This place is wealth of knowledge for its students and the faculty/instructors should be proud of themselves. Oh, and the instructur's buns are the best in town. They are golden brown, firm yet soft and fresh, and warm to touch. Clearly they are a notch above the rest.

The menu needs to comport with the menus of the restaurants of today, by that I mean, you need to tell in some detail the contents of the foods you are offering (ie. black eyed peas/beans with hot spice, onions, tomatoes, etc. for those who can't eat highly spiced foods or onions, tomatoes etc ; pecan pie with whip cream for those who are lactose intolerant. This will allow customers to choose foods or request adjustments to the foods offered so that they can safely eat at your restaurant. The catfish was mushy and had some kind of gristle in it. The cornbread was slightly undercooked. The crust of the pecan pie was perfect and offering one food, the green beans, that was unadulterated, was a good choice.

Food was warm. Black eye peas, corn bread and coffee all were flavored well. The meat was dry and green beans just like every other place. All people were pleasant, not outgoing but gave good service. We will come back.

Delightful place and food, locally sourced and creatively made and served by students learning the industry (under great supervision). Ambiance is very nice, too, though my group had someone with difficulty hearing and there was a lot of ambient noise. Staff helped quickly when we asked for music to be turned down. Highly recommend!

the staff and service were excellent. very friendly and welcoming. the hamburger was a bit overcooked and the bun was burnt, it seemed like it had been sitting there for awhile before delivery. the pumpkin soup was very good

The Aspen Grille is a nice little secret on the CSU Campus. It has a very nice ambiance, provide a great variety of food that showcases CSU's agricultural background. I have yet to eat somethere there that I didn't enjoy. The meal we had this week was extraordinary. The quail with cranberry maple relish was perfectly seasoned and tender. The squash vegetables with the touch of onion also hit the spot. The pumpkin soup with the pumpkin fry bread was extraordinary. You could actually taste the pumpkin and the seasoning was subtle and complimentary. The corn pudding at the end was just enough sweetness to satisfy. The waitstaff was attentive but not pushy. All was appreciated. Thank you for such a great experience.

I love the food and chatting with the students. I think they do a terrific job at a good price. I go as often as I can get by with!

The students do a great job in the front of the house--nicely done. The food needs improvement. Burgers are served on enormous buns that make the burger look tiny. Salmon poke bowl is very odd combination of flavors and made me feel ill all afternoon.
