The food was good. The service left a lot to be desired though. There's no sign or anything telling you where to order and the staff seemed more focused on gossiping than helping customers.
This place is disgusting! They should be ashamed of themselves for naming their business "Mexicali". I actually grew up in what is considered Mexicali, and this food is nothing like the food served in that region. This is whitewashed McDonald's Mexican food. I took one bite of my burrito and then it went in the trash.

A great Mexican venue with tortillas made fresh right in front of you! The habanero white sauce is incredible!! Not at all spicy, and can be put on everything!! Highly recommended you grab yourself some. The tortilla chips are great as well, grab a bag or two to-go!

Cafe Mexicali is a favorite! I moved away from the area a few years ago and this is one restaurant I miss so much. It has been my good fortune to come back a few times and I have to visit. I highly recommend the quesole, enchiladas and burrito made with sweet pork. And don't forget the creamy habanero sauce!
