I have been here half a dozen times before, it's always been delicious and this last visit for dinner was exactly as remembered! Came with my out of town family and every single person loved it. Even my brother, whose there pickiest eater loved his. I just wish it wasn't closing! It's hard to find such authentic Italian food.. You know, the really good places like this. The feel of the place, the entire vibe is authentic. It's 1 of my favorite restaurants.

Great place for perfectly prepared pasta and freshly baked Italian bread. Beautiful setting in a historic home. Outstanding service! Closing up for good at the end of 2022 so don't procrastinate!!!!

Seemed short staffed. Turning guests away, but plenty of available tables. Reservations are a must! Closing December 23, 2022. Food was good. Typical Italian, nothing special. Courtesy rolls were wonderful and fresh. Nice ambiance!

I hadn't been to Canino's for a while, but I wanted to go before they closed. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Honestly, better than I remembered. The spinach salad was fresh and flavorful, the vegetarian sampler was hot, and once again, packed with flavor, and the rolls... well, the rolls were fantastic as always, especially after I ask for some olive oil, which they brought with herbs. I can't comment on the tiramisu, because I took it to go!My server was friendly and knowledgeable, and although the place was busy, there was a peaceful, relaxing vibe. So, as you can see, I enjoyed my dinner! If I don't get there before they close at the end of 2022, this dinner will leave me with a lovely memory of Fort Collins.

Everything was good. Loved the meatball and sausage. A real pity they’re closing by the end of the year.

While moving our daughter into her dorm at CSU in Fort Collins, we found Canino's and were suitably impressed. Her roommate's mom had done a little research and had Canino's on a list of places to try but had run out of time! So we took the girls ourselves for a late lunch/early dinner. RESERVATIONS are strongly suggested. We did not have a reservation (3pm on a Monday during a busy, busy week) and got really lucky, snagging a table without too long of a wait. BUT, while we were dining, the wait time for others without a reservation went up to an hour. While we waited we read some of the historic information on the walls in what looks to be a closed-in porch on the original home. Once we were seated we were able to read a little about the restaurant's history; we then realized that the very friendly elderly gentleman who chatted with us while we were waiting was the grandson of the original owner! Fascinating that he never mentioned it and was so humble and personable! The Eggplant Parmigiano was the absolute best I've ever had. The presentation was lovely on my personal platter of a dish and I regret not whipping my phone out to take that "Instagram" photo! I won't bother ordering it anywhere else now because it won't compare. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there were NO leftovers! Canino’s will be the restaurant of choice for us whenever we are in Fort Collins.

We were not super familiar with the restaurant so I called to find out if reservations were necessary or walk ins were OK. The person (Emily) I spoke with on the phone acted like I was bothering her and very pointedly told me there were no reservations for the next few days.I don't understand the need to treat people like that at all!We ate there once in May for an early meal and it was good. (We walked in) The folks there were nice.Guess business is good enough that they do not need to treat new customers nicely.

Awesome authentic Italian. Quaint, comfortable and familiar environment. Reminded me of grandmas Sunday dinners. Will def go back. 10-10

Very good food, scampi d'blanco and eggplant parmigiana were exceptional. Service was a little slow but acceptable. Teenagers enjoyed it too

Took my wife and her grandma here for her birthday. Was not disappointed! The appetizer of muscles was fantastic, the jumbo stuffed shells were probably the best I have ever had. My wife's was equally good. We all had excellent service and they really had a beautiful setup. The only thing I didn't think was fantastic was the cannoli, my rule has been in the past if they put chocolate chips in it, it's probably a poor cannoli. They needed a little lemon in it and the crust was a little too hard. But aside from that, it was a fantastic dinner.

Honestly- our server was fantastic! Heidi was very kind and helpful. But, the food wasn’t great. Shrimp was old, pasta was soggy and it didn’t have any flavor. Eggs tasted old just like the shrimp. And, it took us about 2.5 hours to get through a light lunch with no app…. Heidi was still great, I liked the atmosphere. Food was just… off par

We went there for a Father’s Day dinner and it turned out to be the worst choice we could have made! The waitress certainly didn’t have any extra time for us! She flew in requesting our first order and ran away! Running back in dropped our wine and ran away again, after the four of us finished the wine we waited again! They she flew in got our dinner order and off again! After waiting over twenty minutes we chased down another waiter and asked for more drinks and another ten minutes later our waitress returned with more wine. Fifteen minutes later she finally arrives with our dinner but the one dish “Requested” to be gluten-free arrived not gluten-free AT ALL! She says I’ll be back in two minutes with the correct dish……three of us waiting to eat our dinner respectively for the short meal……15 minutes later the dish arrives!!! Everyone else has a cold meal by now and the person that was waiting for the correct meal is ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSED that everyone waited for them to get the ordered meal!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE I’VE EVER HAD THERE!!!! I will NEVER go there again!! I LOVE lasagna and theirs was VERY disappointing!! The waitress was kind enough to tell us that they don’t make any of their pasta and the lobster dishes are made out of house, frozen and just heated up in the restaurant!!!

I called on Friday asking what is the latest to order off the lunch menu on Sunday (Mother's Day). I was told if I called at 3:30 they would honor it. I asked if I ordered on Sunday at 3:00 for a 4:00 pickup that would give them enough time to prepare it as I wanted to give them enough time since it is Mothers Day. Was told that would work. Fast forward to today, Sunday, Mothers Day. I call at 3:00 to place an order from their lunch menu for 4:00 pickup, I was told I could not order from lunch menu only dinner menu on Sunday. I said ok, I would like to pickup at 4:00, they put me on hold as they had to check with the kitchen. Was on hold over 5 minutes. They come back on the phone and had to put me back on hold as the other line was ringing, was feeling like they really didn't want my business. Finally came back, placed my order was told each entree came with soup or salad, picked 3 salads for 3 entrees. Picked up at 4:00 this was the only thing I felt went smooth. Food was ok, my salad had several pieces of brown lettuce, ugh. I checked my receipt and was charged for one of the salads, I called and asked and was told the one entree did not come with a salad. I told them they are not very clear on the phone and they must need some training as the person I spoke with on Friday led me to believe I could order from the lunch menu. $54.85 for an ok meal, probably will just go to Olive Garden next time, rather disappointing as we were trying to support local.

I ordered the Calzone and it was delicious. The dough was perfect and it was packed full of ingredients. The price was very reasonable for how big it was. The only negative was that the red sauce was thin and kind of lacked personality. I also had a bite of the lasagna and if ricotta is your bag, it is chock full. So rich and delicious! The service was also good. We stopped in mid-afternoon right after the lunch rush and the waitress gave us great service. Overall it was a good experience.

My husband and I came in for our anniversary on Monday May 2, 2022. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was nearly empty. We were then greeted by the server after 10 minutes of sitting at our table. It then took an additional 25 minutes for our server to come back and take our food and drink order. The appetizers took 15 minutes to come when we only ordered a salad and garlic bread. The main course took an additional 15 minutes to come out.The food was average at best. The tomato sauce was watery and did not have much flavor, the noodles were cooked fine. My husband enjoyed his sampler plate but agreed about the sauce. We got a cannoli and the filling was curtailed and tasted expired. Overall it was not a great experience and we will not be coming back.
