I like the food and it's good but they are never open and the prices have good through the roof. it is just not worth it.

Arrived at 2:40 on a Monday, completely unattended. Waited for 10mins, before the only employee came in and served me. Italian ice was mediocre at best.

Rita's is my favorite treat, since childhood. It's still as perfect today as it was when I was in 5th grade. This location is a great store, with great service, and lots of options! Looking forward to our next visit.

I came in around 8:30pm on a Saturday night, thinking I had plenty of time to order a quick dessert before their 9pm closing time. We were standing in the store for about 2 minutes waiting for a staff member to come out of the back as we just waited listening to them laughing amongst themselves. I ordered a Concrete and my partner ordered a Blendini, both of which are advertised on the menu to come with "plenty of toppings." We get handed two half-full cups of barely blended custard, CHARGED $21.00 for it (astounding, I had no idea I'd be paying over $20 for two small ice creams. Not sure how they get anybody as a return customer with those prices alone)... only to get home with our desserts and realize NO TOPPINGS WERE ADDED. Absolutely none. So now I paid way too much (again, $21 for 2 small ice creams?) with poor service and no toppings added. I'm inferring the staff working was lazy, trying to close up shop early before 9pm, put stuff away already, and didn't feel like taking it back out to make our desserts properly. The second we exited we also watched them close and lock the front doors far earlier than 9pm, basically shooing any other potential customers away. They were obviously over their shift and done making proper desserts. I feel literally robbed and will not only never be back but will spread the word around town for those I know to never go get robbed by Rita's. At least at their competitors like TCBY and Coldstone I pay $10 for a dessert and actually get decked out toppings and multiple flavors. Literally feel like I ate chocolate plain sludge.

Coming from an area of Chicago where every mom & pop convivence store had homemade Italian Ice I was very skeptical & while it's not Nona's homemade Italian ice it is still amazing & refreshing. I have been amazed by some of the flavors and flavor combinations I have enjoyed. I absolutely recommend getting the flight of Italian ice so you can try a bunch.
