Went here with friends recently and had a wonderful dinner. Had the rolls in the picture which were all very good. Our table enjoyed Shrek, Snow White and Golden Dragon rolls the best. Seaweed salad was also great and we also tried the Toro sushi, which was terrific. Service was also on point. We are all looking forward to returning.

I loved my crispy spicy tuna roll! I've never had anything quite like it and I thought the creativity of serving it on a crispy rice cake was genius. I can't wait to order it again!

They're not open on TUESDAYS! They will however accept online orders even though they're closed. Very frustrating showing up to the front and seeing it being closed!!! Sign on the door that it's closed but not online and take your money for online orders!!! This place was a good option for sushi in downtown golden but now will not be back. I would just go to Denver for sushi

3.5 stars. Came here for a date night with my partner before watching a show at Miners Alley. Love that everything is walking distance within Downtown Golden. Service was good. Rolls were decent. We got the Playboy, Black Dragon, and Shrek, in addition to the Dynamite, which I'm now realizing is inherently more of an appetizer than a roll. Not my favorite sushi in Colorado, and you wouldn't expect that from a mountain town anyways. Rolls seem to be on the smaller side. I couldn't resist the Key Lime Cheesecake special being promoted that day, and it was the perfect modest-sized slice of tart and sweet to end the meal. Just adding to the very mixed reviews of this place!

Great place for a good quality sushi in Golden. My server was very nice, friendly and she made sure I enjoyed my food. The restaurant is specious and perfect for big groups. If you like nigiris, I'd say their nigiris are on the smaller side except the Uni nigiri in the photo was a good portion. Due to the size of the nigiris, I'd say they are a bit pricey for what you get.

The sushi was very good.I felt that because I was a woman, sitting by myself , I did not get the same quality customer service that a couple to my left, or a group of men nearby - received. I probably spent more money than both those parties combined. I may go back for sushi ... but only if I am with someone else. I frequently eat out by myself - or order takeout to take home. The vibe I felt - because I was a single woman sitting alone - I was treated differently. My service was rushed. My server did not take time to answer my questions, and dismissed me. No one really paid attention until I said "I need to place an order to go". They actually tried to take my menu away before I even ordered. This was a weekday around 4-5 pm. Not a Friday or Saturday during prime time hours. Note: I ordered roll and a glass of wine. And then over $175 of sushi to take home. I don't know if we will go back because the staff was dismissive, and didn't take me seriously. We eat out a lot. Sushi is my favorite food. The sushi here is very good. The service was uncomfortable and I felt neglected.
WARNING the lights on the ceiling flash on and off enough to give a a seizure.if you are sensitive to flashing lights while you eat DO not go to this restaurant. The sushi was very good, but the FLASHING light will make you Sick. chef Katie

Wow. Walked into this really beautiful restaurant and seated at the sushi bar for the first time. That's my only complaint- you sit so low you cannot watch the chefs perform their artistry! And our dish of rolls and sushi was pure art. Delicious salmon and tuna sushi, rolls so beautiful you hated to disturb them. Great menu that includes- chicken, lamb chops and more. A bit pricey but fine for the service, atmosphere and fine food. We're gonna be regulars.

I entered this place with expectations it would be similar to the Littleton location. Boy, was I wrong! The Littleton location doesn't lack service from beginning to end. This place was a disappointment and we didn't even try the food! Upon walking in the door, there was a horrible, pungent smell - perhaps sewage leak (?). The host greeted us promptly but once we were seated, that was the end of it. No acknowledgment for 15+ minutes, so we left. No offer of water or any beverage, no sharing the specials... N-O-T-H-I-N-G! That said, I'll never bat an eye at this Okinawa again, ever! It's too bad the name is shared with the Littleton location that kicks a**! Time for a management review if you ask me. Also, I understand being short-staffed; especially in lieu of covid. Regardless, let your customers know the wait - at the very least, communicate with your patrons.

My normal sushi place is closed on Mondays, so on a recommendation from a close friend, we decided to try Okinawa. I have to say that it was a great find. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Our server made some great recommendations and was very attentive. The sushi! The sushi! Jeez, the sushi was fantastic! AW you can see from my pictures, we had a LOT of sushi and every bite was excellent! I highly recommend Okinawa Sushi! Please give it a try and you'll see what I mean.

Hands down, the best sushi I've had in years We ordered the dynamite as our appetizer. It was superb. We ordered the Spider-Man roll, the ninja roll & the black dragon roll. Between 2 people, it was more than enough food. I jokingly told my partner that this is a place you take someone to breakup with them because the food is so amazing that even that kind of bad news couldn't hold a candle to the food here. Service was exceptional & very friendly. The ambiance was super chill & the restaurant was very clean. Will definitely be back!
