The Joke

A little irritating that I buy a bar crawl wristband but then get denied entry due to tattoos that are a panda on my hand and say heartless on my neck yet I get refused entry after already paying. If you have tattoos please don't support this nonsense. Definitely feel discriminated against. I've never once committed a crime in my life. I'd recommend Bears if you want to feel welcome!

if you are a young women do not come here. the bartenders here put their hands on me and according to the cop i talked to “clearly assaulted me” yet the fousey lookin bouncer refused to give me the bartenders name or let me speak to the manager. if you don’t wanna go home w bruises, do not come here (.) not only is their music trash, their drinks are not good. Nobody in there is ever dancing, and it’s clear to see that they have never cleaned the bathrooms. honestly save your money and your time & drive to Fort Collins. You might actually have a good time, and you definitely won’t get assaulted by men who think that steroids are equivalent to the gym.

This place is a nightmare. I will never go back and try to tell every young woman in greeley. IT IS NOT SAFE TO BE A DRUNK YOUNG WOMAN AROUND THE MEN THIS BAR EMPLOYS!! Not only has the bouncer misread my ID on multiple occasions (is that not his only job), but I have been assaulted by the bartenders there and was told the idiot who couldn’t read my ID was the manager when I asked to speak to one. If you are looking for a good time, you’re not gonna find it in this dirty, dusty place. Their music is terrible at best, and your shoes will stick to the floor while you’re boxed in the smell of throw up and sweat and that’s on a lucky night. If you’re experience is anything like mine, you will almost be refused service, because they can’t read IDs, and then you’re gonna leave with bruises from the bartender, putting his hands on you. 0/10 all around

This bar should be closed the bouncers are worthless. Not safe at all. Then when something does happen, they intimidate you not to call the police.

I felt extremely insulted when I went this past Wednesday. I am under 21 and attended the bear crawl and at first I was having a decent time but when i went to the bar together something to drink (I know that I couldn't get alcohol) and was told that I coul ONLY get water and not even a coke, that's when the night started to go downhill. Their promotional things indicate that it's all you can drink on Wednesdays but there is no indication that this only applies to 21+ and I consider this to be false advertising. It all came to a head when I was denied entry into the basement area because I was under 21. It was the only place that was quiet and I wanted to get away from the music for a minute and couldn't. I paid an entry fee just like everyone else and yet I was treated as though I was 14 and not a month away from being 21. I don't care if it's policy or not, I don't appreciate being treated like a lesser being purely due to age, especially when I am a paying customer just like everyone else. I was insulted at pretty much every point of the night by staff purely due to age. It's not about the money, it's about the principle of the situation.

I was kicked out of the bar because the uneducated bartender didn’t know how to accept Apple Pay. I have screenshots that shows my transactions throughout the night using my Apple Pay. She assumed I was just trying to score free drinks I went out and spent almost 100$ on myself and others. The security was very rude threatening to call the cops on me for trespassing. I’ve spent a lot of money over the last 9 years there. Brought friends there and given them a lot of business that they will never be receiving from me or any of my people ever again. I’m

Best bar in Colorado hands down. They call it the box but I call it my home away from home. I have no bad complaints because I can’t ever remember my night there the next day! Sometimes they have bulls, sometimes they have pools, and sometimes they have whales. No matter what they have going on that night, one things for certain, you can always be entertained by the hottest bar tenders, the regulars who won’t move on from college life 20 years down the line, or the finest tweakers Greeley has to go offer. 10/10 recommend if you and your family plan on taking a family vacation to Greeley!Wheelchair accessibility: My homie bailey had to be wheeled out one time

Stepped away from our table to talk to someone 10 feet away. Bartender came around the bar to take our full beers. My boyfriend went to the bar to ask why they had thrown our drinks out. Bartender told him people get rufied there all the time. Careful.

Ridiculous. We got kicked out after a girl started a fight with us after accidentally bumping into her while trying to walk by, and we did not reciprocate. The owner only listened to the her and her boyfriend's side of the story and did not give us a chance to explain that we didn't do anything wrong. Don't waste your time at this bar!

NOT QUEER FRIENDLY!!!I was downtown attending a drag show at The Moxi and we decided to pop into The Penalty Box for a drink. The music and vibe seemed good. My friends and sister went to the bar but I had to use the restroom. While I got into line I began chatting with the girls near me. As a Cisgender Homosexual Male, I was prepared to use the "Men's Room"; no matter how archaic the gender norms bathroom rule was. The line for the "Men's" was as long as the the beginning of the "Women's" so I was just chatting. The girls went into the "Women's" and I, out of habit, just followed as we spoke. A bouncer then grabbed me and told me I had to leave. I said, "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't realize I followed them in, we were just talking abo-", when he cut me off and said I still had to leave. I asked him why? He said I was "making people nervous". To which I asked him who or if anyone had complained? He said no but that I might make people uncomfortable. I know homophobia when I see it. He was waiting for a reason and my d*** mistake of walking into the "Women's" was his gateway. I told him I would leave but that I still needed to use the restroom. His only kindness was allowing me to use the toilet before kicking me out. I will NEVER RETURN & I will be telling everyone I know and meet and see at the grocery store to never attend as well.

good bar and good staff, not my favorite of the 4 bars downtown, but still a good one. drinks are always poured acutely and you are taken care of fast even on busy nights.

Do not go to this bar! They denied entry to my friend because of his tattoos. That is total BS. He would have caused no trouble in this dive but they refused to even give him a chance. Do not recommend.

Would be embarrased to own this place. Sell it to someone who has a little class.
