Wow, wow, and... wow! Ordered the vegetarian platter for carry out. The meal was a very large in size, enough to feed two people. The dish was fresh and contained flavorful ingredients, providing a rewarding culinary experience. Would have uploaded a photo, however, the plate was empty before the opportunity arose. Looking forward to enjoying various menu items as I will be a returning customer. Thank you, Tawakal East African Restaurant.

Amazing customer service and they were great at offering recommendations since I'venot been in prior to this visit.Highly recommend trying their Passion fruit juice or Chai Tea to drink. The juice is still sweet yet refreshing. The tea is sweet and creamy and made it a lovely choice to pair with the meal.Ended up trying their weekend special Ethiopian Meat Platter and was blown away by the different flavors that were on the veggies, meat, and lentil portion.Portions are very filling and will priced.

I recently dined at Tawakal East African Restaurant and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the enticing menu, the dishes I ordered fell far short of my expectations. The flavors were bland and lacked the promised depth. The presentation was underwhelming, and it seemed as though little effort went into preparing the dishes.I had hoped for a memorable dining experience, but the lackluster food overshadowed any positive aspects. It's unfortunate that the potential I saw in the menu wasn't realized in the actual dishes. I believe that a restaurant's food is its essence, and in this case, it was a letdown.I hope Tawakal East African Restaurant takes this feedback constructively and works on improving the food quality to match the expectations set by the menu. As it stands, I cannot recommend the restaurant based on my recent visit.Another advice please serve injera everyday rather than just on the weekends! Only having certain foods and different days really limits the amount of choices a customer can have.

I was very disappointed in seeing this restaurant. The minute I walked in the place looked so ghetto. Then there was absolutely no service. The lady who was in the restaurant was on the phone. She could care less if we needed to order food or not. She only had certain food on certain days which is really bad. If you want injera it was only available on the weekends. The menu is also very pricey. Not worth it! Won’t be coming back.

The server was nice but the bill was higher than the advertised price by a fair amount. The food was average at best and the cleanliness was a bit less than average. The ambience was equivalent to eating in a bus station. I wouldn’t eat here again though I’m a big fan of African food.

Good food. Bill didn't match menu price. Not able to get separate checks but I'd go back. Takes a while to get your food but worth the wait.
