I have been a few times and it never disappoints. Reservations recommended but as a party of two we were seated right away. I had the Branzino and the pistachio ice cream. Both were

Our experience was a HUGE disappointment. We went expecting to have a nice pasta dish for a reasonable price (two dollar signs). So, before we went we looked at the online menu to see if it would be worth going. The online menu said "All Entrées served with seasonal vegetables and one choice of: fettuccine Alfredo, angel hair pomodoro, penne pomodoro, spaghetti pomodoro, roasted potatoes, Tuscan beans or sautéed spinach". The restaurant is classified as a "premier restaurant" so that all sounded good. Once seated, we ordered the Mahi Mahi ($29.00), the veal Saltimbocca alla Romana ($31.00) and the Tagliatelle Bolognese ($22.00). The shock came with the note on the menu that said seasonal vegetables included, but if we wanted pasta with our "Italian" dish, it would be an extra $6.00 per plate- so much for the online menu! We didn't order the pasta, for price and out of principle. When our dishes arrived the next shock came, puny portions!! The Tagliatelle bowl was like a child's portion and meat dishes weren't made for anyone with much of an appetite, either. The veal was drowning in a plate full of what tasted like canned sauce; it made it look like more was on the plate, I guess. Those seasonal vegetables, and I kid you not, consisted of one carrot (1/4 inch in diameter and two inches long, two slices of zucchini, cut thin and 1 inch in diameter, and two (not 3) but two broccoli florets, each the size of a quarter. It was almost funny to imagine the guys in the back measuring and counting (maybe even weighing) the vegetable portions. I hate to imagine how big the side of pasta would have been. The only redeeming factors were that the waiter was nice and very apologetic for the long wait to be seated and the bread held us over for the long wait for the meal to show up. The wine was gone before the meal showed up though. We wanted a nice family meal and left not happy at all.

Our dinner at Chianti was wonderful, and Vinny was an excellent server. We appreciate the manager Luis who adds to the ambience and warmth of this charming neighborhood restaurant that has delicious homemade food and great service. A perfect evening!

My husband and I are visiting from Houston Texas and decided to try based on their reviews. Service was good. Tables are too cramped. It’s very hard to have a conversation. Salad was sub par, lasagna was good but chicken parm was tasteless. I would not waste your time.

Highly recommend making a reservation for a weekend. We had a 545 and right afterwards, there was a line out the door. The seating is snug. Calamari was unremarkable. We each had ravioli, both pretty good.We were given an electronic drinks menu and tapped in our options. And then were told it was for looks only? Patrons were sitting in their cars outside the restaurant with the lights glaring inside.

Food was absolutely delicious. We had chicken and pasta in a gorgonzola sauce and a shrimp and pasta dish. Both were phenomenal. We are from Boston and know good Italian food and this was definitely up there with the best we've had. Service was great, friendly but not at all intrusive. Food came out almost too quickly. Bread was also so good.

This little "neighborhood" spot features excellent Italian fare with a fine range of menu items. The wine selection is also very good. The quality and service are appropriate to a larger and more expensive restaurant.

I haven't eaten at Chianti in years. It hasn't changed. It's still the outstanding dining it's always been. They have a solid wine list. Their menu, from aperitivo to dolce, offers variety and something you want, whatever your mood. And, of course, there's the cannoli.

The calamari and julienned zucchini with marinara sauce appetizer was a scrumptious dinner and large enough to take home and enjoy for lunch the next day. I have never had anything like it before. It is light and clean, and the marinara sauce is among the best I've tasted.

We love eating at Chianti and it's always been one of our favorite places to eat. But last night the service was so slow and the waiter was very inattentive. It took forever for drink, food and anything we needed. When I told the waiter we would have had dessert if he would have stopped by the table, he was a jerk and never apologized for not checking in on us for 45 minutes. I'll be back because we love the food, but not with the same waiter. He sucked!

food is delicious, great wine selection, great menu. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are not overwhelming. The bolognese was one of the best I've had and we also had the ravioli which was outstanding.

Chianti is a good neighborhood restaurant with a huge menu, good quality food and attentive service. Tables are very close together so a bit crowded but pleasant atmosphere. No bar so no place to wait for your table.

Waited 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated while standing outside as there was no physical space to wait indoors. They did provide complementary Prosecco though, which was a nice touch, though it seems this is a chronic issue. Restaurant is fairly small and seating is very tight. It felt like we were dining with our neighbors to the right and left of us as there was about a 1 foot gap between tables. At one point we all just started chatting because the noise level was so high you couldn't have a quiet conversation. This restaurant seemed to be mostly an older crowd. My wife ordered the special pesto gnocchi. It came in a bowl which was full to the rim, literally, with oil. She ended up just taking it home so she could drain it. It was tasty, just extremely oily. I had the special cioppino, which I would not recommend. It was more like muscles in marinara. Very little other seafood, and the “broth” was thick like tomato sauce. Was not very appetizing. Otherwise, cocktails, wine selection, and service was very good.

Be careful making an Open Table reservation, a few weeks ago we did so and showed up with 7 of us to be turned away because they said the reservation didn't come through and we were sent away. That was very disappointing and frustrating on a Friday night at 6:30 pm! Also the front desk hostess was unfriendly and unhelpful. We did get to go back this time but I called to verify we could indeed come for our Open Table reservation, thankfully we were able. The restaurant is SO crowded you can't move a chair. We've been coming here for over a decade and I was disappointed to see how they are cramming people in like sardines. The food was okay, not bad, but not as good as usual. The presentation in bowls used for soup or ramen for the pasta was a bit off putting. Not sure if this is for space, or what, but it' does change the way the food is viewed. Overall I hope they get back to their roots at this restaurant. It's always been a favorite but I was a bit on the disappointed side at our last visit.
