Oh how I have waited to write this review. I had a gift-card so wanted to wait till that was over with. Ahh where to start. Well, I have been here 2x now. And ya, it is soooo overpriced. Like, not even reasonable for the food served and Im boogie. Sushi quality and sushi chef =solid. Unfortunately, each time we have been here on a date they are actively pushing anything to up your bill and I left hungry af - 2x after spending over $150.00 for 2. people. (the only 2 people in the place). Look just do yourself a solid and go to sushi den. Their heart is not in it here. Guarantee this place don't last and it is sad bc the sushi chef is dope af. Last gripe then this place gets 0 more min of my time, ever again. We called this place multiple times and they just close early. We were eating, a couple walked up and they locked the door on them... Peace 47 Ronan-

The bartender was nice enough, but when we sat down and started talking, he was often interjecting into our conversation uninvitedly. As an introvert, this was not ideal and we had no option of sitting at a booth or even a table because everything is at the bar top. There was only one other couple in the establishment. It became uncomfortable quickly. We couldn't have a conversation with each other. After ordering a mixed drink, the bartender spilled about 1/4 of it while handing it to be. We made awkward eye contact and he said he'd find a way to "get us another ounce of liquor". He did not. It was the only thing that could have happened that was more awkward than interjecting into our conversation. At the end he charged us $14 for a spilled drink that wasn't that good. Food was yummy, price was exorbitantly high, experience was subpar. Would not recommend. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Rock Bottom next door.

Way overpriced. Sushi was fresh and tasted good but the portion sizes are so small. Even the miso soup was half full compared to what I usually get anywhere else. Not sure I would go back. Rather drive to sushi den where prices are similar but portions larger.

I would give this restaunt 10 stars if i could. Absolutley my new favorite restaurant. The chef was clearly very experienced and was also accommodating to my familys vegetarian diet. His passion for his craft was palpable.Everything was absolutely delicious. The cucumber ube roll is an absolute must try. I'll be ordering a minimum of 5 next time i go.Seaweed salad? Delicious. Also i didn't ask so i cant be sure but im pretty positive their wasabi was actual real wasabi, not the colored horseradish you get most places. Also delicious.10/10 would reccomend.Edit: reading the other reviews i would like to mention that the serving sizes are small compared to American standards but are absolutely appropriate for the style of sushi service and thr quality of the dishes.

This place was great, really enjoyed the food here! A lot of the most recent reviews complaining that there are no sushi rolls crack me up, it's a hand-roll sushi bar! You do realize its 2021 and you can look up menus online before going into a restaurant right? Either way, I'll be back!

The sushi has great flavor. But the portions are microscopic. And if you’re looking for sushi rolls, don’t come here. Be prepared to pay $15 for 2 bites. Literally. Extremely disappointed.

Don't come here if you want a meal. You'll go broke and still be hungry. This place only exists and survives by taking advantage of first-timers. We should've paid more attention. Take a hint, people. Friday night at 6:30pm, there were only two customers eating dinner (total). That should've been our sign.Mediocre service. Ordered our food and it arrived in hilariously small portions, I'm not exaggerating. Food was tasty, but we spent $90 and felt like we had a really expensive snack. We left to get sushi somewhere else. Really. As we were eating, another couple came in and sat next to us and my wife and I overheard their disappointment with each other about portion sizes and prices. A different customer came in by themselves and was commenting to us across the bar that their food was tiny and overpriced.

10/10 would recommend! All their ingredients are so fresh & the pickled wasabi was delicious. Chef Chris introduced me to Temaki & tailored it to my spicy preference - I will definitely be coming back!

Picked up carry-out. The rolls were very tiny. And prices were higher other local places. (Places who actually have normal sized rolls)

The 5 stars must be for the “spirits” because my husband & I ate there this evening & feel sick. The sushi looked off, but the good reviews & being in a nice location gave us a false sense of security. We’ll never choose to dine at this place again & the only reason I’m writing this review is because I don’t want others to feel sick after eating there, too.

Being from Seattle, my standards for sushi are high. I like the owner and the service was great. I think the atmosphere is beautiful and parking is easy. Very expensive and the sushi is just OK. Cocktails are just ok, as well. Definitely worth checking out since we're landlocked in Colorado though.

The sushi was good but it is much smaller than average portions as shown in my photos. That is about $75 worth of sushi. I lived in Japan for a couple years and while this is more common there it's not worth $20 a roll here. They also charge for wasabi which is highly abnormal. When I see "fresh wasabi" on the menu I think fresh grown and an upgrade. Based on the experience it could be standard wasabi. Overall, I will not be ordering from or eating at this place again.

AMAZING! The sushi is the best we’ve had in the Denver area. I could not recommend more highly!

The food was delicious and our server had amazing recommendations. The service was fantastic. I really don't think the food is overpriced and get the strawberry mochi 100%

We had a great dinner last week and really enjoyed talking Chris the sushi chef and the host Jeremy. They served us some very unique sushi and appetizers as well as an "amuse bouch" roll with mint and preserved plumb that was very good. Support this business!
