Updated 2022. The service here is really bad. They do not know how to organize pie pick ups here....I know it all Village in but I'll be trying out a different farther location next time. What is the point of setting a time to pick up your pies then?

Online order for pickup. 10:54amorder time pickup at 11:12am. Mexican short rude waitress was at a customer's table screaming to me that the order will take 15 more minutes. She then starting talking about me in a negative way. The white taller waitress just ignored me. I attempted to leave as the short mexican called me curse words. My mother came in to wait for the order and waited a other 20 min as both waitresses ignored her. This is the absolute worst experience I/we have ever experienced at any restaurant or any establishment. If you have to hire people like that I am unsure how other people are treated here. I have lived in Lakewood my whole life and used to come here often this has gone to a bad place staff wise.

Great service, tasty food.... and surprised me with mushroom gravy!!! Excellent staff with attention to details. Nice place for dinner on my out of town visit.

I had such a horrible and disappointing experience. To make a long story short. I'll just say, the 2 bowls of soup were more like 2 half cups of soup each, which tasted old, extremely salty and concentrated. I also ordered a grown-up grilled cheese and a regular grilled cheese. I received 2 grown-up grilled cheese. I placed a complaint online never got a call back.

DO NOT order to go from here. Ordered two sandwiches and was told an estimate of 15 minutes for pickup. When I arrived, the lobby was packed but the restaurant was barely sat. When I asked about my order, I found that two other to go orders were also waiting. After the host checked on the order we were all given an “I don’t know about those orders. We are really backed up today.” And that was the only solution I was provided. Don’t trust this place to give good or fast service.

This is a review for this location's "Village Bowls" service listed on GrubHub. Lots of places have little pop-up shop-type listings on delivery apps, so as to drive more business toward their delivery model, and Village Inn is no different. What sets them apart, however, is their ineptitude or inability to list the ingredients in their dishes. It's one thing when you can't make special requests for delivery apps, for "no tomatoes" or "put the dressing on the side," but it's entirely a different one when you dislike or are outright allergic to something and are at the mercy of whatever braindead corporate crony typed up the listing wrong or which lackadaisical line cook didn't read the ingredients list while preparing it. It's entirely impossible to determine which misfortune befell our food today, but a dish (the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" bowl) came with mushrooms in it, which it specifically *does not* have in its list of ingredients in the description. Our delivery app decisions are limited by the information we have available in them, and we won't be putting any more foolish faith in the fools here in future. Waiting forty-five minutes for food to be delivered AND inedible is inexcusable when it's easily mitigated by simply having the food match the listing. Village Inn/Bowls lost customers today due to inept preparation, poor communication, or both. We won't be ordering here again, in person or for delivery.

Started with chicken noodle soup and it was nice and hot and just the right consistency. Not too thick. Then the turkey bacon avocado melt was great because Village Inn is one of the only restaurants that uses real roasted turkey and nit lunchmeat. Thank you.

Ate at Village Inn and hostess started the experience on a positive note. Super friendly and welcoming then our waitess was informative + able to meet my husband's needs to mix and match food. I would visit again for both a cost effective breakfast and friendly faces.

The kitchen is ridiculously slow. We went at like 1pm and not many people were there so no clue why it took so long for the food to come out. Then I placed an order to go and that took a long time as well. The Eggs Benedict is gross, do not order it. It was bad last time I had it delivered but my son ordered while we dined in and the ham is not thin sliced it's an inch thick, the eggs were poached but over cooked and the hollandaise sauce separates so quickly. I would order something else.

They sent me away because it was 40 minutes until closing. I almost cried. I am very pregnant and was so hungry I was shaking a bit. I just wanted a quick bite to eat. I would have settled for a to-go order. I went to Denny's instead and recieved wonderful service and food. I don't think I will ever choose Village Inn again.

I had a roast Turkey dinner w/ mash potatoes & stuffing. Food was good but lukewarm at best. The coconut cream pie was tasty so I it made up for it.

always check your take out orders, this place is run by goofs, here's a california skillet missing hollandaise sauce, avocados and overcooked eggs, they don't issue refunds for their own mistakes either, never going back to any village inn.

we ordered pickup the lady was very rude, just handed the bag off dudnt say a thing and walked away, our order was 100% wrong but didn't know till we got home ( we live bout 20min away from the lakewood location) tried to call several times to get this corrected as this was dinner for myself and my kids, I was hung up on 5min after someone picked up the phone never said a word but could hear background noise then they hung up on me when I tried to call back it just rings. I will try again tomorrow. ( just an idea veggies in our omelets were raw no attempt was made to cook them and pancakes felt like they just came from the fridge and the Rio grand skillet looked like it been scraped out of the bottom of the barrel and was missing almost everything)

I love the spinach bacon omelette here, I recently moved where there isn’t a village inn nearby so when I was in the area I stopped to grab an omelette to go. Something told me I should have checked before I left but I didn’t, when I got home to eat it was so disappointing to see that it was make incorrectly and missing hollandaise entirely, the best part of the dish. There’s nothing like finally getting something you’ve been looking forward to and getting let down.

Village in was ok, the service was good. Our server was very attentive and kind, however the breakfast was not so great. The bacon was under cooked and the scrambled eggs were also under cooked. Ordered hot chocolates and they were not very hot as well as they charge for refills on their small cups, compared to IHOP restaurant, their hot chocolate is so delicious, comes in a huge mug and you get refills.
