My family has eaten here several times, by ourselves and with friends. The food is always excellent, the service is very friendly, and the margaritas are outstanding. This is the best Mexican food around, and we have tried all local places. This is a small, family-run kind of place. My daughter loves the beans, I love the pork. Margaritas are often loaded with sugar, these are not so, they are very good.

Top notch food and service! We love Mexican food and we had heard great things about this restaurant so after church we decided to check it out. Very nice, clean space although not very large. I got enchiladas and my husband had 2 smothered pork tamales and a Chile relleno. Food was delicious. The chips were warm and freshly made. Salsa had a kick to it. Service was efficient and the servers were very nice. We will return!

On a chilly (-2°F) Saturday evening in January around 4:45 PM, we arrived, and seating was prompt due to the limited early crowd. The service was excellent, and the prices were just as expected. We placed orders for a bean & cheese burrito and chicken tacos. To put it simply, both dishes were absolutely incredible. The chicken tacos, in particular, stood out as some of the best I've ever had. The bean & cheese burrito was equally amazing.Moses, though not pictured this time, wholeheartedly recommends Los Portales a hundred times over.

Awesome first experience. I was on my own so I sat at the bar. They have happy hour every day from 2-6 with really good drink deals. I got the Portales margarita and it was less than $8 on happy hour. I think I got the drink maybe 3 minutes after I ordered it. I’m a chips and salsa freak, so I was excited that their salsa was so good! A little bit of a kick but not overboard and lots of flavor. I ordered the crispy chile relleno plate for dinner. It came out very quickly, maybe 7 mins later, without sacrificing the quality of the food. Excellent rellenos, really good green chile. I usually skip the rice and beans because I’m too full, but I couldn’t resist the rice because it looked so yummy. It did not disappoint! It was about $30-35 total for 2 decent sized margaritas and dinner. I’ll definitely be a regular here!

This is as good as it gets! Authentic food. Great service. Delicious drinks. Killer Happy hour. I had the steak fajita Burrito and my husband had a savory shrimp Los Portales burrito. This is the best Mexican I've had in the Denver metro blowing Patzuaros (highlands Denver) and Don Juan's (Bowles location) out of the water. Our new go to.
