We order here pretty regularly for the past few years and the sushi is generally good for Littleton. We ordered for pickup and when I arrived someone else had mistakenly taken my order. The manager then says they will make a completely new order for me and proceeds to call the other customer who took my order. While waiting the other customer comes back about 5 minutes later with my order and proceeds to take his order at the counter. The manager then took my order to the back. She proceeded to re bag one of the rolls in a new bag. I asked to see all the rolls that were discarded and she only shows one of the rolls. I asked to see the other one we ordered and she goes to the back and does not return. The sushi chef comes back 5 minutes later with a new roll. The manager straight up lied and re-served us a roll that had left the store with another customer. Needless to say we will not come back to Sushi Basho. We're saddened because we've loved coming here for a long time.
Good food, beautiful presentation. Server was kinda slow. The place wasn't that busy and they seemed to have coverage so that was the only hiccup.
So yummy!!! We usually get the huge sushi combo - everything is very fresh. Great quality!
The food was fresh in the service was excellent. The only thing better than that was the presentation. The atmosphere is simple but clean. I highly recommend it for great sushi
Just tried Basho for the first time and was extremely impressed. I'm always skeptical about trying new places for sushi but Basho has very high quality fish and is extremely reasonable.Going back soon.
Aye Yo this place is fire don’t let the Karen’s of Littleton fool you out of some good sushi. I order from here 3-4 times a month and have never been disappointed. I’ve checked the menu to accidentally hit reviews just to see some straight B.S. If you’re in Littleton you’ll enjoy this place 10/10 I always order over the phone and pick it up. They’re amazing.
Have been dining here since it opened. Lately the food has been ok. This last time they packaged our tobiko on it's side so all of it fell off. Not the best way to package it. Hard to put it back on the sushi piece.
Came in and sat at the bar - our food came out pretty quickly and I could tell they were busy with a lot of To-Go orders. Pretty good selection of sushi rolls. Fish tasted great, next time I will order nigiri only. I would come back again!
I moved to Denver in October and came across Sushi Basho thankfully because it is amazing!!! I’ve tried other places since I’ve moved here and nothing compares. The sashimi is always fresh and the variety of sushi rolls are delicious. It is a quaint place with great service and I highly recommend giving them a try because you will not be disappointed!
Great lunch spot to grab some sushi. Very clean and the service was very good. The tempura shrimp sushi was amazing!
TL:DR - mediocre sushi, bad service, no A/C in 90+ degree weatherI ordered "premium" sushi that was significantly more expensive than the the cheaper version of the same fish (example: fatty yellowtail vs regular yellowtail). Literally no difference in taste or appearance. The sushi was not great by any means. It's not that the food was bad, I did enjoy it to a certain degree, I've just had so so much better elsewhere. I feel that the five star reviews are coming from people who have not had top grade sushi.The service was really poor as well. They never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, never asked how the food tasted. It was 90 degrees outside when we came in, and there was no A/C. I had to sit there with sweat dripping from my face throughout my meal. It was uncomfortable.
I have picked up sushi from here on a number of occasions - and it's good. There's some creative/fun rolls to choose from. I normally order ahead and it's ready by the time I drive there (around 20 min). I ordered tonight - and asked for it to be ready ASAP. The suggested ordering app (beyond menu) said the estimated time would be 40 minutes. I walked in and the order wasn't ready. The restaurant had people in it - but was not full (multiple open tables). No one acknowledged me when I walked in. A few min later, someone walked up to me holding a takeout bag and asked if x order was mine (it wasn't) - asked my name - then walked away. I was essentially ignored after that. After an hour had passed since placing the order - I asked for an update and they apologized and said they were working on it. The man next to me had been waiting for an hour and ten minutes (and noted it was the third time he had the same experience). I finally received my food an hour and ten minutes after ordering. While the sushi may be good - this is the first (and last) time I will ever wait over an hour for takeout. I also personally feel there is no excuse for poor customer service. It does not cost anything to be kind - greet your customer - and communicate. On to the food. I ordered the edamame, rainbow maki, mango roll and salmon sashimi. Everything was good - the fish seemed very fresh. The sashimi was a larger cut of salmon - and delicious (photos attached). I would not recommend ordering take out from here. Maybe the dining room experience is better (quite frankly I probably could have sat down and eaten faster vs. waiting for the takeout). Rating 2 stars for the extremely poor experience overall.
I was test drove in Broadway and hunger for sashimi at 2pm. I wasn't impressed with the environment when I walked in, some sort out dated. But they seem having regular and happy customers when I saw them. I ordered chirashi which was not traditional that I ever had. Rice could be warmer, but fish and wasabi is good. Then I ordered sweet shrimp sashimi. It was not so sweet and dressing on the fried head is not compatible with the head. I would not go back for sure.
waited 30+ just for rice and soup and then another 10 for our sushi. checked on every table around us while continuously ignoring us. me and my friend ordered cocktails only to be given watered down versions of orange juice. waitress probably spoke probably 2 words to us the entire time. if you’re looking for good customer service i would not recommend sushi basho.
