I very rarely speak well of an Italian restaurant because so many either pump out over-americanized versions of the same four dishes, or they act like it has to be fancy to be good. Caprese Trattoria understands that really good food isn't some cliché, it's a true cornerstone to Italian culture. The fact that the food is SO...DANG...GOOD and the atmosphere is underwhelming is absolutely perfect to me. I feel like I'm back at my Great Aunt Gloria's house.The staff were very pleasant, and the bar was dialed in. We can't wait to go back again and again.

I recently dined at a Caprese Trattoria where my friends and I encountered a very disappointing experience. Despite the menu stating a $15 charge for antipasto plates when ordered by two or more people, we were each billed $30 for a single plate. When we politely brought this discrepancy to the manager's attention, he responded rudely and disrespectfully, claiming that we were the first customers in seven years to raise such a complaint. As an all-female group, we felt particularly disrespected. While we strive to support local businesses, the condescending attitude of the manager confirmed that we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous dinner! The 4 of us had nary a problem with anything. Service was excellent! It was an extremely busy evening, but it did not affect our experience. We all had different dishes and they all exceeded our expectations. The table ordered Fiore de Zucca...oh, so yummy; I ordered a Pera Salad and Zucca...the absolute best butternut squash ravioli in a sage butter sauce that absolutely melted in my mouth. I can't wait to return!Parking: Adequate. No problem on a very busy Sunday eve.Kid-friendliness: There were sev parties with young children and it did not present a problem.
First time visiting. Had heard good things but it felt like eating on an airplane the way they have all the tables crammed in there. Thought it would have been a nice Italian atmosphere especially for $20-$30 a plate but it was like a buffet hall. The food was pretty good but not special. The service was extremely fast and attentive but almost too much so. There seems to be a focus more on turning tables than a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Not interested in returning.

This was a great restaurant for lunch with a newfound cousin. The menu items made me drool and I was very sorry I'm not ever hungry enough to order a big lunch. I did take half of what I ordered home with me and had it for dinner last night. We live about 45 minutes away from this restaurant, but I have only just discovered it. Next time I need to go to Longmont for anything, I will make sure I make time for a meal at Caprese Trattoria!

We love Caprese Trattoria and celebrated a birthday there. As always the food and service were terrific. We're older and the noise level is a bit hard for us, but clearly this restaurant is very successful and its patrons are very happy.
The trout is fabulous. The filet was not that great - stick to the tradtional? Our server also does the bar on Fridays - he was great! Picked a fabulous white wine for the trout. The bread is addictive. This is our favorite Italian in Longmont.

I made the mistake of trying to get a last-minute Valentines Day reservation. My punishment was eating at this place. The food was mediocre at best, and that was made worse by being packed into a dining room that operated like the puppy mill of the restaurant world. It left me feeling like I had just done something shameful. I will say our server was personable and attentive. Outside of V day, you may have a better experience.
