I’m never a fan of writing bad reviews but this wasn’t a great experience- we went at 2pm… it was slow. The server took 15 mins to get us drinks/water- I saw her just standing and chatting at the hostess stand with coworker while our drinks sat at the bar. The food was super salty and oily- not sure if it was fresh made in house which is a bummer. They did take off one of our items from the bill since it was inedible due to salt (pozole) which is why this is a 3 star and not a 2 star. We appreciated that. We really wanted to love this place… it’s a good meet up after a ride to get drinks but I wouldn’t go here solely for the food or service.

Showed up at the bar not busy at all. 3 other parties, 10 minutes for a greeting. Green chili was fine, not a fan of corn tortillas but whatever.Asked for the check, 15 minutes later had to remind her.She spent alot of time talking to others, cool but dont forget about other customers.

The burrito was cold and full of water and the chips were swimming in grease. All that for 56 minutes of waiting on a Thursday.

Had never considered dining here as I find most Oscar Blues related establishments mediocre and sub par. It was recently that I was told the business was sold to a former employee and was respectable. Upon trying it out this evening with a nearly empty room, I asked my very pleasant bartender for a recommendation . I received two cold bacon wrapped chili relleños with no sides. Ate it all as I was very hungry, afterwards the bartender was relatively indifferent to my comments. Presumed she was used to hearing unflattering commentary.Well, after 23 years in Longmont am I surprised to eat at another pathetically mediocre restaurant here? Nope.My advice : stay home and cook or drive to Denver. This city may have many components of a great community, but NOT the restaurants

We had a group of over 40 here, and they accommodated us beautifully, seating us at a lot of tables and they did a great job of getting every order, digitally, to the kitchen and the kitchen was bringing out food before the waitress was even done with all our orders. So they were super efficient and accurate with all the orders.I got the three moles plate, and they were all tasty. My husband got the chili rellenos and they were wonderful. The yucca fries were a huge hit, super crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and they came with a side of chipotle honey, smoky sweet heat. One amazing touch was serving all the tortilla chips *hot* from a huge warmer that they put all the chips into before they're served. So they come out shatteringly crisp and warm. So good with their in-house made salsa.

Met friends for dinner, talk & drinks. I had a mocktail mojita. Soda water with a few flecks of mint. I told the server I have an onion allergy. I tell every server every place we go this. No one has ever been this rude. She said, "It's a Mexican restaurant. Everything has onion." Not true. I lived in Mexico as a child. You do not have to put onion into everything. Many regions, you have to Ask for onion. I stayed for a week in Old Town Cancun. People cooked on the sidewalk. You choose what you want from bowls. They cook it fresh. You can say NO onions. Or no whatever. Belize, same. Never tell a customer they cannot eat in your restaurant. If the chef has any ability, they can whip up something tasty without onion (or shellfish or peanuts, whatever a person may be allergic to). After the other guests ordered, she said reluctantly, "we could do fish tacos but you can't have pico de gallo, the creama, etc. (she went through everything I couldn't have). Got slimy fish, not crispy, on limp tortialla. Asked for avacado. She made a face. I said 'If you serve guac' can't the cook slice up an avacado? And a lime & lettuce & tomato, please." She flipped her hand at my plate. "There's cabbage under there." Not visible. 15 min. later, I got about 1/4 of a small avacado. 1/8 of a key lime. Tiny amount. I took one bite & stopped. Everyone else enjoyed their food & we really enjoyed each others' company. But next time our friends suggest Cycle Hops, I will say "Let's try The Pumphouse or Long's Peak Pub or Tiki." Perhaps she was having a horrible day. Nobody knows what's going on in anyone else's life. But when I was a server, I learned to ACT happy to see all the customers. Better tips.

The girls at Fabulous Finds recommended it. Went for lunch. Cute place, great chips, salsa, guacamole and flautas. The SERVICE was awful! Only 2 tables and 5 people at the bar. IGNORED describes our experience, it was almost comical it was so bad. Guy with blue t shirt, 40's and balding was our "server". Don't know his name he never greeted us with a name. Ladies, "do you want to put in for food?" What? Never offered anything, didn't check on us, refill our drinks, NOTHING. Finally when no person or check arrived, we started waving our arms, he was standing at the bar facing our way. No response. What?? We had to walk to the bar to get the check. Brought the bill, no thank you, how was your meal nothing!!!! Unbelievable! So go for the food! Run if that guy is your "server".

The salsa and chips were pretty much tasteless in my opinion. Plus one of the salsas tasted like it was going bad. The server claimed that they make it every day, but something seemed way off with it.

Dinner was very disappointing. I always order tacos when I dine here. This time the tacos were “cold.” I told our waitress that all my tacos were cold. She replied, “That’s how they are since the toppings are all cold, it makes the fish cold.” I had ordered shrimp, fried fish, and grilled fish tacos. All three were cold. The server didn’t ask could she get me anything else or say she was sorry they were cold. I asked if I could get a hot fried fish and tortilla. She brought one piece of fried fish and no tortilla. It’s possible she didn’t hear my request for a tortilla also. I barely ate anything, because who wants to eat cold tacos that taste like they came right out of the refrigerator. I felt her customer service greatly needed improvement. I’ve never had their tacos ice cold before. Very disappointing food and service. The chips were good.

We’ve been ordering from Cyclhops for a while, but this was our first dine-in experience. Frankly I left feeling like the place was closing down. The staff seemed friendly at first, but then appeared to be sniping amongst themselves about what was ordered and what could go on a server’s tab. When we were finishing up there was no staff to be found for 10 minutes. Almost nothing in the bathroom worked and it was really dirty. The margaritas and chips were good, but my burrito was almost all beans, very little rice, meat or other ingredients to be found, implying significant cost-cutting. The other entrees were enjoyed. I know this is a tough business, and I hope this restaurant can survive.

Updating my previous review.Quote from host "Order over the phone, not online". I've been coming here since it opened and love the food. But it seems like ordering online has gone downhill in the last couple years. I ordered online, arrived at the quoted time, and then proceeded to watch someone else arrive after me, order their food togo, get their food, and I'm still waiting. I heard his order, and was basically the same thing. Three tacos and a side. Apparently online orders can be missed or forgotten.

The happy hour prices are wonderful. I had the carnitas taco for $3 and it was incredible! Fun atmosphere. Chili rellano is the best I’ve had anywhere. The fresh chips and salsa were SO good that we had two baskets between the two of us I’m ashamed to say.
