Absolutely amazing and the service is top notch. I love this place so much! The quality of the fish is better than anywhere else in Colorado. if I could give them more than five starts I absolutely would.

What. A. Find. Sushi Leo looks like nothing on the outside, but is truly remarkable. The inside is so cute and quaint. My friend and I both commented, simultaneously, about how cute it was as soon as we walked in. It is absolutely precious. Our waiter, who was the only one for the entire place that night, seated us right away and I could see him hustling and nearly running from table to table to provide the best, most outstanding service. They do have a small happy hour menu from 4pm to 630pm with a few beers one white or red wine for $4 and sake. My friend and I got the wine, which was a generous pour a d noy bad for $4. We ordered edamame for $5 and one regular and one spicy miso soup. The spicy miso wasn't that spicy, but still a very tatsy, rich and delicious broth. We then split two sushi rolls, which were delicious. The tempura shrimp fell a part a little bit, but the philly was delicious and full of fresh salmon and light on rice, so you can really taste the fish. We had lots of questions about the menu and our waiter was so kind and helpful with us. Honestly, one kd of the nicest servers I have had. I ended up ordering the chicken katsu curry udon and my friend ordered shrimp shumai and broiled yellowtail for her meal. They warned us her meal wouls take 20 minutes because it is made fresh. We both really enjoyed our meals and the chicken katsu was very good. Nice, rich, curry broth with noodles that were tender, but plump and fried chicken that went really well with the broth. I wasn't expecting such a large portion, but ate it all and enjoyed it thoroughly! Service was amazing and our waiter even tried to help split our appetizers that we shared from our main dishes, which was unbelievably kind. We left feeling as if we'd just found the most unbelievable hidden gem and yet, loved it so much, we don't want to keep it a secret.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I'm definitely spoiled when it comes to sushi. We've tried every place in Longmont, Boulder and even sushi Den in Denver. Sushi Leo is the best sushi we've found. Lovely atmosphere, fresh fish, and friendly staff. It's a gem for sure.

Sushi Leo is conveniently located off of Hover and Clover Basin, in the shopping center near Red Robin and Qdoba. There is plenty of parking, although with so many restaurants nearby, it can still be pretty packed around dinner time. My husband and I came here on a Wednesday night, and when we arrived around 5:30, there was only one table occupied in Sushi Leo. We ordered the caterpillar roll, the Leo roll, and I got a bowl of spicy miso soup. Now, as someone who loves both miso soup and everything spicy, I was intrigued by the combination of the two, but the idea was much better than the result. It was NOT good, and I would definitely discourage anyone from ordering it. The caterpillar roll traditionally comes with avocado on top, but seeing as my husband is allergic, we asked for it without. The chef was kind enough to put an egg omelette on top instead, which turned out decent. We liked that roll well enough. The Leo roll was great, in my opinion, although spicy food tends to upset my husband's stomach, so it was a little too much for him. He ended up deconstructing the roll to eat around the spicy tuna inside, which worked well. While there was only one table there when we arrived, within the hour there were more guests at various tables. This is unsurprising, as it's prime dinner time, but the service grew to a crawl as soon as there were more than three tables. It was only the single server, so I sympathize that he may have had a lot on his plate, but there were only 5 tables full and we had to wait at least ten minutes to just get our check. The sushi itself was decent, but there are better places in Longmont for the same or better prices.

The place is amazing. You can feel the quality of the food (especially when you talk about fish, freshness is key and you can feel it). New owner, and new chefs. Service is really good. The ambiance is also good. Love the place...

I'm sad to write this update, but I have to. Sushi Leo after changing owners has really fallen off. The rotating specials are no longer very special. The quality of fish seems to have dropped significantly for some reason. The service is still cheerful, but I'm not sure why every staff member we regularly saw there for years is now gone. The female sushi chef there is so nice and does a great job. The new male sushi chef that's there often on Friday nights almost acts like an abusive husband to her, he bullies her. It's really sickening to watch. I can't sit at the sushi bar anymore. My wife doesn't want to go there anymore. Our order always gets mixed up, long delays because the new male sushi chef always seems frazzled and upset. We have come to Sushi Leo more times than I can count, it was our local special spot. Now, it feels ruined. I guess it's still better than a few others, marginally, but the prices are higher than ever. Great things never last forever...

okay so we went back AGAIN.. lol i do want to mention something.. i love the udon noodles with veggies.. but i wanted a bigger bowl of it and the bigger bowl came with chicken.. but i don't want chicken.. so i asked if they could take the small bowl of it and make it large lol.. they did.. also my wife had some minor changes to what she ordered and they had NO problem adjusting it. im really starting to love this place again... my ONLY complaint.. is the rolls seem a tad smaller than they used to be but not by much and DEFINITELY not as small as SUMO... its just something we noticed .. i think there is less rice and its not as compact. we left very full and very satisfied..

This is the best sushi place we have had in Longmont and that is saying a lot cause we have at least 2 other favorites! The staff is amazing from the moment you walk in. Mitchell remembered our faces from our prior visit and even remembered what our daughter liked to drink. He was friendly and engaging and helped us find suitable and delicious Gluten Free options. The sushi was amazing. They give big portions and are light on the rice so you get to experience the full and fresh fish. Since we are gluten free we had to avoid some of the speciality rolls so we revisited some of the more traditional rolls and I realized exactly how fresh and delicious the fish was! The smoked salmon nigiri and tuna nigiri were amazing and the tuna roll with added jalapeño made my night. Prices are reasonable for such a great experience. Love this place!!

Love coming here. The sushi is all very good and fresh. I love the #10 roll and the Leo roll. Love that its a mixture of traditional sushi along with some new favorites. The sushi chef often makes a little tidbit that gets brought to the table for us to try. One of our favorite sushi spots!!!

We went here for my mom's birthday last week. Great sushi, I was super impressed with the quality and service. The waitress even left a little happy birthday note in our check. Everything was really good!
