My wife and I had dinner there. We had the smoked salmon wonton appetizer. My wife had the grouper and shrimp special. I had the shrimp and crayfish etouffee. All were delicious. Service was great. Smaller dining area in the winter, Recommend

We sat inside , and the noise level was subdued. The place is relatively bright; the decor simple; many paintings on the wall seem to feature the same, not-smiling woman, so slightly off-putting for me. However, the service was prompt, attentive and friendly; the drinks and food were delicious. Portion size was sufficient. Dessert was an excellent key lime pie, nearly as good as the ones I like to get from the Mountain Fountain in Hygiene. Based on this one visit, I have no hesitation recommending this place.

Food was better than I expected but the service was lacking. I watched 2 employees standing around on their phones as I tried unsuccessfully to get their attention for a water refill. Finally got their attention and a water refill as I was finishing my entree. The chocolate bread pudding for dessert was really good. The atmosphere is kind of bland with the exception of the numerous paintings on the walls which was really the only decoration. The tables are covered with brown paper as table clothes, kind of tacky for a place that purports to be more upscale than your average bar/grill type place.

Amazing food and service! Shrimp callaloo was delicious. They opened the patio and accommodated for our 2 dogs

+ Cuban Mojo +Fried Plantains I recently dined at Tortugas, and while my experience was decent, I must admit it left me feeling somewhat indifferent. The restaurant, located in a charming house setting, has a history of 20 years, which undoubtedly contributes to its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was attentive, engaging in pleasant conversation throughout the meal. The menu, while offering classic Caribbean dishes, left me hoping for a bit more excitement. I ordered the Cuban mojo, and the options available seemed a bit tired and bland. What stood out to me was the repetitive use of plantains both as an appetizer and a side dish for entrees. While I appreciate their presence in Caribbean cuisine, it felt somewhat overdone, lacking in diversity. If you're seeking a homey vibe with aspirations of being a bit more on the classy side, this place might be for you. However, I personally wouldn't rush back for a return visit. The chicken in my dish, for instance, was somewhat tough, and I'd have preferred a more tender chicken breast. The restaurant offers a comfortable and familiar ambiance with attentive staff, but the menu lacks the pizzazz and variety that would make it a standout Caribbean dining experience. If you're in the mood for a simple, home-cooked Caribbean meal, this place might fit the bill, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.

Love this place! Weather was great so we sat on patio. Always have to deal with flies outside- anywhere you go, might help to have a fan or two out there, but does not even BEGIN to prevent me from going to Tortugas when I'm in the area!We had an appetizer that the name escapes me but it was shrimp wrapped with bacon- mmmmm!I hadone of their specials: Mahi Barbados with a margarita and it was all marvelous! My heritage is Cajun so the chocolate bread pudding we shared for desert wasn't quite what I expected. But, it WAS yummy, don't get me wrong! Our server, Michael, was on his game and attentive. And boxes for leftovers cheerfully provided! You absolutely need to try Tortugas!

We stopped in for date night. After living in Longmont for 20+ years, it's a shame it took so long for me to check this place out. The food was excellent and the service was great too. The only downside was how loud the dining room gets, especially with large tables. We'll probably opt for the patio next time.

Definition of a hidden gem. Just a block behind Main Street in an old house. Casual fine dining. Really well prepared food, served on dishes you’d find at your house. Full bar, wonderful desserts. Reservation is a good idea on the weekend. Cajun menu with specials that mix it up (like pecan crusted halibut ). Happy our son found it. We will be back!

Glad we spotted this place last minute, they were able to get us in in a timely manner and the service was wonderful. Mike was our server, very knowledgeable and good conversation. Food is made by the owners and it was incredible, you can tell the care what their food tastes/looks like ! Definitely will be coming back

I've been here twice with groups and have been able to sample most of the main menu items and almost all of them have been excellent. Good drinks too. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Longmont.
