Leaving a great review even though it was my first time at Urban Thai. Cocktail (Tuk Tuk Whiskey) was delicious and strong.I ordered the Urban Thai Fish. Crispy, tangy, different, and delicious. Wife ordered the shrimp with goji berries. Totally unique and different flavor from most Thai food. They were not super busy so the service was great. Food came out super hot (temp). Highly reccomended.

Very disappointed with the curry dishes we ordered. Very little chewy meat and bland flavor. We won’t order from here again.

A low quality Thai restaurant backed by a nice presentation. We ordered the shrimp Tom Yum soup, the chicken glass noodles and the beef pad thai. All of the dishes were very sweet and the chicken and beef were both overcooked and tough to eat. At least nothing was wasted because we took the meat home to feed to the dog! They also charged an additional 4% to our bill as a "kitchen supplement." It seems like this restaurant has a great vision, but poor food quality and the hidden fee really makes this not worth a second try.Edit for the owners reply: We came in as hungry customers and not as critics. What did you want to us to do? Complain to our young waiter that all of our dishes are low quality while we sit in hunger and you observe by the bar? Your food was better than nothing. Thanks for feeding us.

We typically get delivery, and we fell in love with Urban Thai during covid lockdown (great no-contact practices) and will always be loyal! We get delivery at least once a month. The food is really, really good too. Typically get red and green curries, egg rolls, and chicken satay.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant in Prospect. We started with delicious pot stickers and had a variety of entrees with spice level 1-5. I went with a 2, which was just right for me. Our server, Savannah, was attentive and thoughtful. We enjoyed her positive energy. I will definitely save room for sticky rice and mango next time.

Green curry absolutely flavorless and watery. Took a COVID test to make sure I wasn’t sick because it just tasted like coconut milk. Got level 4 spice. To clarify, I’m not complaining about just the spice level, I’m complaining about the curry itself. It was a to-go order so at home to improve I strained and reduced the curry by half, and added about 1/4 cup chopped fine fresh basil and a nice bit of nguan soon curry powder (if I had green curry paste I would’ve used that though). Seared the chicken and bell peppers in sesame oil, garlic and chiles before putting it all back together and it became palatable

We wanted to like this place… service was fine (we where the only table) but the food was just awful. Way over salted, canned ingredients, tasted gross and we all felt sick when we left. Also the inside of restaurant smelled awful- not sure what it was but it was really gross all around.

Super yummy- had the pad Thai and Tom Ka soup- soup was my favorite- also got crab wontons, yummy but not worth the $$ for 5 of them. We'll be back to keep trying the menu- also would value if they did lunch specials

Great customer service - I got a Togo order and felt like there wasn’t a lot of meat in the food. The manager assured me he checked (I did see him doing this) but still offered me a free meal next time (very kindly). He remembered when I came back and even gave us an extra app (one we ordered last time). I was already very pleased with the food and even more pleased with the service!Dietary restrictions: Took care of my allergies no problem

Ok, but not great. It was Sunday, so didn't have the option to go to either of our favorite Thai restaurants. Ordered for the first time in years. Tom Kha Gai (chicken) had a tasty broth, but sure didn't taste the coconut milk, and the broth was too dark to have much coconut milk, if any. Level 3 perfect for my taste. Another family member ordered Thai basil fried rice. Also ok, but no complexity to the flavors. Don't think we'll try again.
