Great food, pleasant service and eclectic ambience! Would recommend the outside heated cabanas for large groups!

I had a really excellent dinner at the West Side Tavern. You can choose to sit inside or outside. They have a bunch of tables outside that have their own tent around it with heaters - so it’s enjoyable if you prefer privacy. For starters, the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower are very tasty - with a nice kick.I can also highly recommend the Caesar salad, the lamb chops, and the steaks.Oh, and if you are into Bourbon, they have a fantastic selection in the cabinet next to the bar. None of them are on any menu so you have to go up and find the one you want and ask.Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Always enjoy my time here. It is my go to when people are in town visiting and want to have a nice night out. I even had a mix up with an order one night and it was handled in an ideal way. They comped us a drink, let us keep the extra drink and were very nice about everything. It honestly made the evening better trying something we wouldn't have otherwise gotten, so props for them turning a blunder into a win for us. Great staff, food and management.

I've been to West Side Tavern.... 5 times now? Felt it was time to leave a review because.... EVERYONE SHOULD TRY THEIR TUNA MELT HOLY MOLY. In general tuna melts have a strange stigma about them; maybe because you think of Starkist (SP?) canned tuna or something, I don't know. But if you have some sort of stereotype or bias against Tuna Melts, I'd encourage you to get over it. The tuna used is super fresh (at least it tastes fresh; I don't know how you source tuna in Colorado but whatever), the bread has a thin layer of some sort of cheese on the outside that give the bread an extra fantastic crunch.... there is a really cool tang that I can't describe (maybe a bit of citrus juice of some sort) but it is creamy, crunchy, tasty..... I dream about it often. They have other awesomeness too, I just want to call that out. Some reviews lately have been talking about price.... I think their price is close to fair given market conditions and whatnot. One of our other favorite restaurants is 24 Carrot Bistro and the prices. here are just a TAD higher on average. BUT West Side Tavern is generous with portions and they don't do the dumb x% "our staff needs to live" stuff (at least I didn't see anything on our bill). Our service has been good 4 of 5 times (pretty terrible once when we were outside, but something was just off that night I think). Overall highly recommend for great food (TUNA MELT OMG) fun cocktails (the walnut bitters in the Old Fashioned are clutch), good ambience.... try it out.

It was my first time eating dinner here. I had heard great things about the tavern, but was really disappointed. The beet salad was void of much flavor and was mostly greens. The goat cheese dressing did not add much flavor and it would have been better if they had just added ghost cheese. We also had a chicken dish. The chicken was tender and moist, but the veggies and mushrooms that were served on top were in a very salty sauce. I was not impressed. The hot mule cider was like warm and cost $12. That was the cheapest drink and definitely not worth the money. The food is way over-priced and not memorable in a good way.

Ok friends .. I have to say this place is AMAZING so warm and welcoming and the food is expertly prepared ! The entire staff's knowledge of any cocktail imaginable is astounding! Longmont is so blessed to have this establishment. The atmosphere can't be matched anywhere else, it is at once comfortable and chic . This is absolutely the place to see and be seen ! The attention to detail on every cocktail is just meticulously executed. The energy of the entire staff is infectious and any one of them are prepared to help at the drop of a hat . Now the food . What an incredible menu , and the specials are always thoughtful, fun and absolutely delicious. We were just so impressed with WST we have experienced Brunch as well and OMG ! The Bloody Mary is NOT to be missed !!! And again the staff , Avery, Sierra, Maddie and Thomas and the Chef Fabian just WOW ! WST wins with fashionable, friendly and fierce execution of food and drink !!!

We came here for a date night on a Friday night- first time trying out the place. It was highly recommended to me by a friend so I was excited to try somewhere new. Our first impression was how tiny it was inside. There were 6 tables, one long shared table that sat 8, and a bar in the inside area. I'm not sure what all was outside- I saw an outdoor bar area where we were leaving, and I thought I saw heated tents in their previous reviews. I didn't see any tents, but they could have been tucked in the back. The interior was whimsical and fun- very Alice in Wonderland-esque. But again, SMALL. We were seated right away and brought waters by the hostess. I looked over the menu and was slightly disappointed in the drink menu- It seemed to lack variety in terms of liquors. I first ordered to rose, and was informed that they were out and was brought a blush Pinot Grigio to try. It was not to my taste, so I ordered the rose bud tequila cocktail. YALL- that thing was STRONG. I sipped it the whole hour of our dinner. It was a very interesting taste- not sure how to describe it, but it reminded me of a Mexican resort cocktail but x100 in strength. We shared the crab avocado appetizer and then ordered the steak kebabs and chicken au vin for our entrees. The appetizer was OK- the seasoning on the chips was great. Idk what I was expecting, but the "dip" was kind of hard to maneuver in the halved avocado. Maybe it it had all been mixed in together and then restuffed into the avocado halves. But once we scooped the top of the crab dip off the avocado, it was just plain avocado on the bottom that we had to hollow out ourselves. Not much flavor. Our entrees were really good and HOT! The chicken was smoking hot- the flavor was amazing. It was rich, deep and fragrant. My only complaint is that the skin left in the chicken was not crispy at all- it was rubbery and not very appealing. The steak kebabs were great. We thought they were over cooked, but they were tender and flavorful. My husband LOVED the sauce on the potatoes. He wanted more, but our server never came back once the entrees were delivered, other than when we asked for the check. Our meals were delicious- our reservation was for 5pm and by 5:30 every seat in the place was filled and service slowed. I think there were two servers handling all the tables. For such a tiny place, it was easy for it to feel crowded and claustrophobic. Overall- it was a nice date night for us to get out of the house after a long work week. I am not sure if we will be back, but I'm glad to say I checked this place out.

West Side Tavern was an excellent dinner selection. It is very busy there so we saw. They have interior and outdoor tables. The outdoor tables are in heated covered pergolas. It was a super atmosphere !! Their menu selections are very good !!!! There were 6 of us (4 adults / 2 young toddlers). Everyone loved their dish !!!! Appetisers were awesome - you have to try the Frits !!!!! Interesting cocktails as well. The serving staff were just marvellous - patient as we selected menu items and helpful with dish explanation. The chefs were very accommodating as they altered a few ingredients to create gluten free dishes. We will definitely be returning. Our evening was very nice - we had a blast, fun time and great meals.
