When going out to lunch with my sisters we had an experience with a rude waiter. While the service was slow we didn't experience much problems until it was time to pay the bill. We opted to pay with cash since the total would be cheaper then card and the bill wasnt that big. While taking the bill the waiter put the change in his apron pocket and left for about 20 minutes before coming back to our table and loudly saying "you're a little short there ladies" and promptly leaving right after, making us feel embarrassed. He then went to another waiter to "talk" and gestered towards our table causing her to look over. They kept glancing over to our table almost implying that we might skip out on the bill. We had to wait 30 more minutes for him to return to our table to talk and explain we had the correct amount but he forgot to count the quarter we gave him; in his eyes we were short .20 cents and wanted to embarrass us in front of other customers. His response was not to apologize but instead tell us he forgot the quarter in his pocket because it looked old and ugly. So if you want the Karen diner experience but want greek food with it this would be the place to go.

Additionally he was immensely helpful, as we had many questions about our coupon. It's people like Kyle that makes me remember these restaurants and not only that reccomend them.

I really love Cafe Athens. I have been coming here for years and the food and service disappoint. The food is always hot and fresh and the service fast.I'd highly recommend the Souvlaki Gyro, fries and Avgolemono soup.
Gyro sandwich and kids pizza was delicious! Server was awesome! And this place is at a great location.

We've had the gyros and large salad many times and each time, it has been wonderful! Attention to quality and consistency are clear here. Nice, helpful staff. Clean place.
The manager/owner was very welcoming & informative. He comped an appetizer for our first visit & gave us our BOGO discount too. The meat almost melts in your mouth & everything was excellent so we'll be back!

takeout they forgot part of the order. I called and they credited for the items that was forgot. But made for a bad visit we haven't been there for awhile my kid was looking forward to it. and the experience ruined the meal.
