Servers need to have their hair up. Found a hair in my food. All servers had long hair and wore it next to food while serving. Grossed me out. Disappointed because the food was delicious but lost my appetite with that.

Holy moly I was blown away! Service was fantastic and food was delicious! Even with the kitchen fire that caused the oven not to work, we still had a delicious meal. Love fried okra and the mashed potatoes were out of this world good(I love garlic)! Will definitely be back to visit.

Hands down the best chicken fried steak and gravy I’ve had in Colorado. Seriously so so good! The gravy is not what I expected, but better! Mashed potatoes and okra and collard greens were all on point. Will definitely be dropping back in for this dish and sides again.
The brisket and the jalapeno cheese sausage were bomb! The bbq chicken was on the dry and bland side but nothing bad, however the beans and rice left much to be desired. The rice was dry and crunchy as if it were old and the beans tasted rancid. We also had a side of fries that were cold and bland. I'd go again but just for the meat not the sides

Doesn't smell like smoke, doesn't taste ANYTHING like smoke - nothing to write home about. I don't think they are barbecuing anything. Great prices, though. Soggy fries. Nothing was hot on my plate.

After a Saturday hike, I decided to give Smoking Dave BBQ a try. Opted for Dave's triple Texas beef brisket, Texas jalapeño sausage, and the smoking Bison ribs. The clear standout was the Bison ribs - fantastic sauce, tender meat, and plenty of it. The sausage was good, as expected, and the brisket was solid, though I can't quite pinpoint what's missing in the taste. Sides were a hit - coleslaw with the perfect creaminess, jalapeño hush puppies could use a tad more kick, and the cornbread was just right. The server was helpful, and the ambiance nailed that BBQ joint feel. Despite missing the lunch rush, I'd recommend this spot and plan to return. To me this is a 4.5 rating
Had the carolina’s pulled pork with green beans and hush puppies. Being a Carolina girl, one always wonders, but this pulled pork was delish. Not greasy, tender and quality pieces. Green beans were amazing too huge portion and fantastic price. Will def return after hiking the area.
Dave's got several locations in Denver, Estes Park, Longmont, and Lyons, Colorado. I am so far only familiar with the Estes, Lyons and Longmont locations and have visited relatively frequently. Both locations are unique and have their own vibe. The food is awesome and is not overpriced. All of the staff people I have met have been friendly helpful and attentive. The food is primarily barbeque, so perhaps it'll be a place for you to go "pig out."Parking: Parking will depend on location and time you go. Estes and Lyons have parking lots. Longmont has a small public lot about half a block away.
My husband and I love this place. Great food, friendly service, they make a good Long Island too. We love the wings , and the ribs are great. We will be back soon.
