We decided to try the Lobby Grille inside the hospital after reading so many good reviews. It felt slightly weird going inside the hospital for the express purpose of lunch, but it was well worth it. They have a large selection of apps, pizzas, calzones, entrees, and desserts. They also have a full case of bottled drinks, a soda fountain, coffee, salad bar, and so much more. Had the fish and chips there. They were actually super good. When you think of hospital food, you thing of something boring and bland but this place actually has really good food. Sometimes I come here to eat even if I dont have an appointment at the hospital itself.
It would seem counterintuitive to purposely seek out a hospital for food of any kind! However, the reviews were intriguing enough for my wife and I to try it on our last morning in Montrose. We were not disappointed. It was easy to find and the cafe if just inside the front entrance to the left, off the main lobby.
