Elk was very flavorful and done perfectly. Sirloin was good also but had more fat than I would like. French onion soup was one of the best I've ever had. Service was wonderful! We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at Caroline's. It was our first time there. Lovely atmosphere with great service. Lupita knew the wine and food menu very well and answered all of our questions. The food was AMAZING!! We will be back and we highly recommend!!! Thank you for making our Anniversary special!!!

Our server, Lupita, was superb. Very friendly and personable. She recommended some wines and food items. She kept a watchful eye to make sure the pacing of the food was perfect. The wingspan red blend was very good. The tempura shrimp appetizer was delicious. The main entrees were served promptly after we had finished our salads. The Elk loin was delicious as was the pozole. The salmon was a very large portion and the vegetables were delicious. The desserts were very yummy. The peach cobbler was the right size and the caramel apple pie was scrumptious. Overall good value for food and service Would come back again

We went there for a new years dinner. The food was good, personally some of the cooking style wasn't my favorite. My steak was cooked just right, however it needed to be trimmed as I trimmed a bunch of gristle off of it. The mashed potatoes had some pretty big chunks of potatoes that needed to be cooked more. My wifes summer squash also was a tad under cooked so it was still a little hard. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I ordered my meat cooked medium and received rare. It was impossible to cut even with a sharp knife they provided . The squash was cut in slices one of which was hard and the other was burnt. The potatoes had no flavor and were very lumpy. Overall, I did not eat my meal and no one bothered to ask why.

This review is long overdue as I attended Caroline's roughly 10 months ago. It's all I've thought about since! The steak was a little over cooked, great service, and great portraits on the wall. The actual Caroline is a modern day Indiana Jones.

We visited Palisade for our third anniversary and Caroline's is the first place we chose to eat. When we arrived, we said hi and told the hostess/waitress we had an OpenTable reservation-- she immediately seemed perturbed for some reason. She seated us and provided menus, we ordered a bottle of chardonnay. The chardonnay was very tasty-- I would definitely recommend it if you eat here and if it pairs well with your dish.I asked about the vegetable ragout and whether it had mushrooms-- I asked just because I always ask re: mushrooms (I hate them)-- the waitress said she was unsure but would ask. Again, she seemed perturbed and "put out" that she needed to check. She came back and said there are mushrooms and it's in the sauce with no way to remove them. Bizarre, imo, because it did not mention on the menu. So, my girlfriend ordered the grilled tuna and so did I. I ordered mine medium-well (the waitress said it comes very "raw"). I went to the restroom to wash my hands and when I returned, menus were on the table again. I asked what's up and my gf said she back and said "We're out of tuna", handed her menus, and gave no apology.I went up to the waitress at her computer and told her we're leaving, there's nothing else on the menu that we want. She seemed highly annoyed, imo, before I even said anythinf. I asked "Do we need to talk to the manager and explain, or are we good?" She said "You're good" and we left.I would never go here again, terrible service all around.

Everything was perfect. The price was reasonable. Service by Lupita was excellent. Her recommendation for their 2016 Grand River Petite Verdot Reserve was spot on. But, most of all everything was fresh, expertly prepared and unique.

We went for a friends anniversary. The location in the vinyard is very cool. The food and drinks are overpriced. I ordered the steak( $ 36-$39) and while is was cooked correctly( medium rare) the meat was tough and not much flavor. I think a short pour of wine was over $ 10. We got ice cream for dessert and it was good at all. We won't return. Very disappointing indeed.

Food was mediocre and the service poor. That was a disappointment, because we were all staying at the Inn that was extremely nice.

We were a table of 5, our server did a very good job. The food was good, but the wine was better. This was a special occasion for us, as we had a small family reunion. Lovely room, nice surroundings.

Good things about Caroline’s are the attentive service, interesting dishes, and relaxed atmosphere. Loved the trout appetizer and seared tuna dinner. Best of all, an amazing peach bread pudding. Unfortunately, the only wines on the menu are Colorado wines, and not the best The Valley has to offer. A great meal reduced by poor quality wine. Too bad.

Visiting the area for Peach Festival. Staying at Wine Country Inn. Reservation at 6:00. Seated promptly. Service very good. Given good recommendations for pairing wine with food. I had special - halibut with local vegetables. Spouse had seafood and pasta. Seafood was good. She didn't care for the type of pasta. Overall a good experience. We would go there again.
