I haven’t been here since I was a little kid over 30 years ago but was visiting the area and excited to see it was open again. I was SUPER impressed, probably the best meal I’ve had in years. AMAZING food (the chicken, mashed potatoes, and biscuits were awesome), very friendly service, comfy atmosphere, real home-cooked feel, the menu isn’t extensive but everything is/looks great, A+ all around. Don’t skip this place!

i ordered a sour cream and raisin pie. i haven’t had that since around 1986 or so. i’m so happy she was willing to make it to begin with but for it to be as amazing as when my mom used to bring them home way back when in iowa? i’m blown away! thank you for the step back in time! and, yes, i brought a spoon from home and ate some in the parking lot before heading home!

We drove by on our little road trip on Mother's Day and decided to give it a try bc the outside looked too cute!Since it was Mother's Day, the only option was buffet. I truly can't eat $22 worth of food anywhere but the options were fairly disappointing. Lotta carbs. The fish sticks were still frozen on the first go around but they fixed it. The best options were the mashed potatoes and gravy, the turkey and the roast beef.The inside decor is as cute as the outside! They use every inch of the place very well!The service was ok. The lady who served us kinda seemed bummed to be serving instead of being served, on Mother's Day. Felt bad for her.Perhaps we'll come again if we drive that way.

Great place to stop when traveling from Colorado Springs to Canon City. The quality of the food was surprisingly good. They put out a dessert table that is no additional charge for every meal. Great hole in the wall dining.
Absolutely fantastic! Nice quaint place to eat; we loved it! They have a wonderful Sunday Breakfast/Lunch Buffet that is amazing. You can also order from the menu if you like. Our server Karen was great. She even went outside and cut some Lilac shoots for my wife to take home. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time there as well as the food. Very reasonable prices too. You really need to put this little restaurant on your "must visit" list, you'll be very glad you did. You just don't see places like this anymore; it's a real diamond in the rough. I wish we had discovered it sooner.

Haven’t had cooking like this in a minute. The buffet was amazing and my bf got a big burger and loved it. They gave us a birthday brownie for him. Also very good biscuits and jam. Best in Colorado. Also the cutest ambience and great kind service? we will be back.
