If you're looking for true flavored Mexican food, this is not it. This food is from Durango Mexico only. We finally decided to try this restaurant out. Carne Asada meal is not skirt steak, just a fat sirloin steak with no Mexican spices, so don't call it carne asada. Salsa that comes with the free chips, was extremely watered down with a few onions. Surf and turf is a full 6oz steak in broth with shrimp that had the tail on, so you had to pick the shrimp out of the broth and remove the tail before eating and the steak was soggy and was hard to cut. Will not be returning.

We arrived for family dinner and were sat immediately. Maison was our server, he knew the menu well and suggested drink specials for us. It's clean and a nice atmosphere. We ordered all different dishes and everything was outstanding!Fajitas were incredible and the crispy chili rellano. The green chili is authentic!As a family that owned restaurants in the past, we were very impressed with the service, portions and quality of food. The margaritas were great and made fresh.Well done Maison and Tocayo staff!

We love Tocayo. One of the fewer Mexican food restaurants in Pueblo that tastes great while still managing to have lighter and fresher options. Definitely try the fajitas. Their lunch menu is an awesome and affordable way to try them out as well.We make it a point to come around once a week because the food is great and the service is even better. Thanks to Mia, Mason, and Laura for always taking such excellent care of us!

Stopped in for the first time to order take out and immediately liked the atmosphere in the restaurant. Laura and the other server were excellent, very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Laura took very good care of me offering me water, chips and salsa while I waited for my order. Had the tostaditas and they were excellent and more food than I expected. Tocayo is our go-to. We have been going here religiously since we moved here. This is the most authentic Mexican food we’ve had in Colorado. They have the BEST mole I’ve ever had. My husband tried the Pozole tonight and said it was excellent. The food is always fresh and tasty. Mia and Laura are amazing. They are so friendly and attentive. They treat you like family. We have never had a bad experience at Tocayo. We HIGHLY recommend them. Definitely go check them out. Also try the Tocayo dip. You will be glad you did.
