The food was so over top delicious. Gastronomic delight. We had the rolls with sweet butter, tomato bisque soup, roasted beet salad, and braised short rib. There were so many other choices we would have liked to try but didn't have room. Beautiful painting gs on the wall. Great view of the Yampa River next to the restaurant and Howelson Hill. There's a yurt for a large private party. Outdoor fireplace. Beautiful lounge/bar area also.

Aurum has great food. The happy hour is an especially good value. Great Yampa river views from the dining room and a very knowledgeable wait staff make this restaurant an enjoyable experience.

Amazing food, awesome happy hour. Ask for a table by the windows so you can overlook the river.

Amazing service and food. Portions are perfect and they outdid themselves with my personal request for my girlfriend’s birthday! Lovely and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice dinner.

Wonderful staff, good food, great service, comfortable and classy bar area, friendly and cozy atmosphere, plus nostalgic views of night skiing on Howelsen! A Steamboat classic. Thanks for a great evening!

Food was excellent. Restaurant was incredibly LOUD, not the place for an intimate conversation. Service mediocre for the price, server appeared to have too many tables to be attentive.

Our server, Rob, was very charismatic and friendly. He gave helpful recommendations related to the menu and feedback on the dishes we ordered. The restaurant had a very cool vibe/ambiance and fantastic food. We will definitely go back upon our return to Steamboat!

We arrived in time for Happy Hour...Bonus! Enjoyed the curried cauliflower, Brussels sprouts & truffle fries. There was a wide selection of wines, beer & cocktails which were delicious. We still had room for dinner, surprisingly, and 2 of us ordered the squash risotto (Yum!) and 2 ordered the bison Osso Buco...delicious. The service was impeccable. Aurum never disappoints, whatever the season.

We ate at Aurum on Friday night with a group of 10 for a friends birthday and we were overall disappointed. Several of us had eaten here in past years and really enjoyed our experiences but this time the service was terrible and the food was overpriced and mediocre. The moment we walked in the hostess only offered to take a few peoples coats and seem flustered, we had to wait a while for our table to turn over which wasn't a big deal except that there were 10 of us standing by the door which was really awkward for people trying to get to the bathrooms or leave. When were finally seated and put in our drink orders the server was annoyed that we asked for so many champagne glasses, we ordered 1 bottle to start and planned on ordering additional bottles once that one finished but she was upset that we didn't just order multiple at the beginning. She took a long time to return to take our food order. Most of us got the risotto without realizing and it was bad. No flavor, no salt and not worth the price. One of our friends is vegan and despite her asking twice for no cheese on her risotto it still arrived with cheese on it and the waitress was annoyed that she sent it back. She never checked back to see if we needed more drinks. We repeated several time that it was our friends birthday and he never got any sort of dessert or even a dessert menu. So disappointing. will not return, do not recommend.

Great atmosphere and menu. Our waiter was timely, cordial and attentive. Dinner was awesome. I had bison and my friend salmon and both were superb. Beautiful view of Howelson Hill and we saw a couple skiers. Highly recommend

Nice location by the river but odd room. A little lacking in atmosphere, could do with restyling. Our waiter was excellent and the food was pretty good if a bit over seasoned. We had starters and mains but no pudding. Nice enough.

We were on the late end of happy hour but the prices were very reasonable - we got to try more things and all of them were excellent! They also recognized the birthday in our group and made her feel appreciated. We were delighted with the food, the happy hour pricing, and the service. Thank you!

We thought $9 for rolls was not reasonable so we passed on ordering them. The wedge salad was good and soup of the day, had the salmon, subbed the cous cous for potatoes but then didn't get the english peas (the cous cous and peas are mixed together and could not be separated?). too many unruly loud children nearby so not the most pleasant experience.
