Mazzola’s is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the mussels appetizer as well as any of their pizzas and pastas. Their wine menu is also extensive and everything that I have tried has been excellent. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are knowledgeable and polite and timely! I will go back anytime I am in Steamboat and so should you.
Went on a Thursday night w/o a reservation. Normally that would be a huge mistake, making a reservation is a must. But we were lucky, there was space at the bar and with shuffling of some people there we were able to be seated. Food was fantastic, two buffalo lasagnas and one chicken piccata were received, but not finished, the portions are quite nice and large. Finished the meal with a nice cognac in a huge smile. I have one suggestion, put some port wine in the bar stock :)
The best chicken parm I have ever tried and I try it everywhere I can. All of our family’s food was excellent and great service too.

What a great night at Mazzola's! Our waitress was excellent and the food delicious. Great energy in the place too! After dinner we walked around town and came back to Mazzola's for a drink. Guess we couldn't get enough! We'll be back on our next trip to Steamboat. And will recommend your place to others! 5 stars across the board!

After a week of terrible restaurant after restaurant, Mazzola’s was a nice difference. It’s not the most authentic Italian but it is pretty good for Steamboat. We had the chicken parm, bolognese, and the bison lasagne. All were tasty. It’s also a cool little underground restaurant.
We shared the mussels which were outstanding , mozzarella stills were very good but huge , the bean hummus was solid but small and deconstructed I would pass The squash ravioli was terrific the veggie pizza very good the pasta with scallops were solid and cioppino was excellent
Honestly, we would travel from Los Angeles to Steamboat just to go to this restaurant. It's hard to not just keep going back every night of our vacation. We got the special pasta, muscles, and the vodka shrimp and all was perfection as usual!!

Thrilled we chose to go here for our one night out during our ski trip to Steamboat! The food was excellent; plenty of pescatarian options and/or vegetarian. The cheesy bread is truly beyond, and the eggplant parm somehow tastes fresher and crunchier than I've typically had. I got the Purple Aviation drink, which was both pretty and tasty. Our group ranged from ages preK to retired, and everyone enjoyed. Will surely be back next time we're out here.

I ordered take out but the place looked really cozy inside and everyone I interacted with was friendly. The Pasta primavera was SO GOOD … but there was hardly any pasta in my pasta dish. The veggies and chicken (I added) were delicious, but ordering a pasta dish I expected, well, a fair share of pasta. It was delicious, just please add a bit more linguini.
