Had some free time to burn so went here to get a hot cocoa and a cinnamon roll. The hot cocoa was very tasty and hot. The cinnamon roll had a honey glaze on top of it instead of icing but was fresh baked today. The flavor was very yummy and the middle was soft and gooey. I really enjoyed spending some time relaxing in the coffee shop.

We arrived for breakfast ~10:30a and they were literally out of all bagels, as well as bacon, and sausage so their only menu option was a plain egg burrito.

Friendly barista and great coffee, perfect afternoon energy! Located just below street level - worth the extra bit of effort to find it!

Stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up at Big Iron Coffee. Baristas were friendly and welcoming. I ordered my usual latte which was delicious, hot and decorated with a foamy heart on top! So great to see the support of local art for sale displayed on the walls. Plenty of seating inside on a cold day like today with some seating out in the courtyard as well for warmer days I’m sure. The small seating areas were cozy although chairs are well worn. As we weren’t hungry, we didn’t order any of the lovely pastries. Although the family sitting next to us had ordered some delicious looking breakfast bagels! I would return for another cup of coffee and a pastry next time I’m in Steamboat!

We loved everything about this place! We got espresso shots, lattes, chai, and matcha. And we loved it all! Didn't order any food but the everything bagel breakfast sandwich they were making smelled heavenly. Great service we had the same barista 2 days in a row she was fantastic!

During my most recent visit to steamboat springs, I came to Big Iron Coffee Co TWICE because once just wasn't enough. The baristas were so kind and friendly; we ordered matches and one of the baristas made us a sample of a matcha latte with raspberry that was divine. So divine, that when we came back the second time, that's what I ordered! The matcha lattes here are some of the best I've ever had. I had it unsweetened and it wasn't bitter at all. It's perfect by itself, but the raspberry added a nice sweetness. The coffee shop itself is very cute, spacious and tucked away on the main road. I would highly recommend having coffee (or matcha!) here.

Great coffee. Not overly sweet. Was going to try a different spot and glad we stumbled upon this place.

Weak coffee! Our cappuccino @ lattes were not so great. Large cups & for 3 shots in each the drinks felt like a whole lotta milk. Perhaps the frappes are their specialties. I can only rate them on their hot beverages. They did seem to have larger frappes offerings.... May give that a go & see if those can hit the mark.

Cute shop in Steamboat Springs. I like that they offer their own selection of roasted coffee. The baristas, and previous manager were friendly and visited with me while I waited for my coffee.I ordered an iced americano, which is my usual. This shop pours their espresso shots over ice, which is okay, just not my preference. I find pouring the espresso into the water and then icing creates a smoother and more enjoyable drink. When training my staff, I usually have them make it both ways and taste the difference - it seems minuscule, but there really is a noticeable difference! My mom ordered an iced mocha & they used a cocoa style powder. Not as sweet as some shops, which is welcomed. However, the powder leaves a residual taste/texture in your mouth that you don’t find when using a sauce. Not bad, just not great.Overall, I’m glad we stopped in & tried out some local coffee. Their courtyard is also a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy your beverage.
