Everything that you could possibly want at a nice restaurants hidden in the mountains of Colorado. It's so cozy inside, with a friendly bartender and delicious french onion soup. Almost felt like I stepped back in time in here. Best paired with red wine or an old fashioned!

Wonderful service—bummed that they were out of the special so early in the evening but the steakhouse salad I had instead was so good I'll count it as a stroke of good fortune! Will definitely visit again.

Our waitress did a good job and the restaurant looks great but the steaks were so rubbery. Not worth the hype. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Over priced nasty steaks.

We have been waiting 2 years to try the Tabernash Tavern and were disappointed. Several of the the kids ordered steaks and not only were over-cooked and difficlut to cut, but they weren't able to chew them. The center cut sirloin I ordered was cooked well but lacked flavor and the vegetables were so overcooked the green beans had withered. The drinks weren't great and the although I'm used to mountain pricing this was significantly overpriced for mediocre steaks and sides. We did however have good service once the server came over and food came out relatively quickly.

I had a great experience here on three occasions over the years (over the past 14yrs or so). It seems totally different now on my fourth trip. We walked in at the time of my reservation for two 5:00PM on a Friday (all the was available on open table). I waited in line behind a customer who as at the hostess station. The hostess stepped aside and asked if she could help me. I announced that I had a reservation for two (we were on time). The hostess told the other customer that she would take care of me and be right back. We were taken to the back room; it had a ski resort bar food feel but same expensive prices. (happy hour had mussels at 15 vs 20) We were not looking for a happy hour deal. The place was at 30-50% and the waitress was in a big hurry and not friendly. I was really taken aback and walked to the front room to see if it was packed and figure out why we got shuffled to the back... nope not busy. The staff watched me look around and return to the back room.. no offer to move us and not worth making a fuss, we decided to not go big on steaks and wine. We had one beer, water, the mussels appetizer and two hamburgers spent $100+. It was so disappointing, make sure you ask for the front room before they seat you if you are looking for fine dining.

I was recently at Tabernash Tavern for dinner and ordered the mussels. They were absolutely delicious. We went for dinner again last night and ordered the same. Completely different taste. What I have found (and heard from others) is that the food it hit and miss. The flavors are not consistent. We ordered the asparagus soup (super delish), the special of Chicken Marsala (which was really not a marsala) and the MeuniËre mussels (which were super lemony and not so much the time before when I ordered.) The waitstaff was awesome, the ambiance was good but for the amount of money charged ($100 including tip) was not worth going back. We only had water and no dessert.

My significant other and I had dinner at the Tabernash Tavern our last night in town from our vacation and it was the most delicious meal I've had in a very long time. If we come back to visit this will be my first stop! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was perfect.

We were lucky to get in on a last minute reservation. Between the three of us we split 2 entrees, an appetizer, 2 sides of maple brussels sprouts, and dessert- which was a perfect amount of food. It was probably the best meatloaf I've ever had. Great service and ambience. Hope to be back!

Went here for Valentines Day and our reservation wasn't until 8, which is late for us. The hostess called at 7 to let us know we could come early which we were excited about! The food was delicious. We had the muscles, wedge salad and kung pao calamari. The flavors of all were amazing. We finished with the mud pie which I can say was probably the best mud pie I've ever had!

They used to have a good menu with chicken and vegetarian options. Now, they only have sea food or steak. It is a very limited menu for only targeted audience. If you love sea food and steak then it is good place to visit. We did not check the menu before going there. Their menu changes frequently. Food is always good, but very limited options. Disappointed
