An excellent value for the money. Do make sure you arrive early though as they don't take reservations, and you can be inline for a while. Once seated, service was prompt, the food was good, and there was plenty of it. I remember the skewers the best, which reminded me of some of the best street food I've had. I would go again, and would just get there on the earlier side.

I have seen two sushi establishments at this spot and it looks like it finally found a sushi restaurant style that would actually succeed. The parking lot is small and pretty much everyone is here to try it out so it might be hard to find parking. For $30, the price isn't bad and it's one of the few AYCE sushi places with lamb skewers. However, just know that we came on a Friday at 5:30 and we waited two hours until we were seated so I don't know if it's two hours worth it. The decor is really cute and I love all the wall art and signs they have. Fish eating sushi... Now the sushi rolls were just okay. Nothing really spectacular. The appetizers were probably my favorite. The baked muscles were so cheesy and tasty. The chubby roll was also really tasty acting like a salmon tempura. The lamb skewers were also delicious.

I am chubby from eating here. Happy sushi lover for sure. Can't wait to go back. Playground nearby is clutch when there is a wait

When you walk in, scan the QR code and they say it's a two hour wait....believe them. We came here (what I thought) early, on a Friday evening but apparently everyone else had the same idea. It's AYCE and shiny and new so I get it, so we waited. We waited in the car, ran an errand, went to Buffalo Wild Wings in the same shopping center (the official waiting spot for the Chubby Fish wait list) and then finally got sat. We sat at the sushi bar, our server explained the process to us and we started the ordering. We got a few rolls along with a lot of nigiri and they were cranking it out. The sushi chefs HUSTLE here, they just kept making rolls, plating them and then onto the next one. We got a few skewers and pork bao, which personally I would pass on the bao if we go back. Skimpy on the meat and it had a brown grayish color, it didn't look good and tasted ok. The nigiri was tasty and the roll was good as well. What rolls we got? I couldn't tell you since they blended together but one thing I can say if you're going to take someone who is a sushi novice, this is the perfect place for them (aka they have a lot of fried rolls and rolls with cream cheese). One of the most memorable things we had was dessert, the strawberry bingsu. It was absolutely heavenly and a perfect end to the meal. Our server says it takes about five minutes to make so I'm not sure how long they will keep it on the menu but if you go here in the neat future, order it! All in all, it was a good experience but I most likely won't come back if it is going to be a two hour wait. They recently opened so I hope they can keep up the momentum .....as they should with the EDM soundtrack to make people eat faster and leave (in my opinion, of course.

I had the opportunity to dine at Chubby Fish. People are not lying when they talk about the wait to get a table. I arrived at 5:30 and we got seated around 8PM. It was a Saturday so I didn't expect anything less. Last weekend when I tried to go the wait was estimated at 3 hours even at 4:30, so expect a wait. Once we were seated it was smooth sailing and it was actually a pretty calm dining experience. The energy is there, but it's not overwhelming. I also love the roving cat robot that delivers the sushi too. So cute! We got seated and our server greeted us and immediately asked what we wanted to order after she explained the menu, which was a little overwhelming. Another tip is to go in with a plan. I tried the tonkotsu ramen which was small and the right size. My friends got the miso soup which smelled delightful too. For starters we tried the green mussels (too much mayo), the crispy tuna, and the super white truffle tuna (not enough truffle but awesome still). For sushi we tried the Fire in the Sky and another spicy roll of the specialty menu. I think in the future I might skip the specialty rolls. They were a little too over the top and not enough fish for my liking. The nigiri was an absolute star of the show though. You can order one piece of each type of fish at a time and there's a limit to how much you can order all at once. The hamachi was incredible though. I could eat that all day! I recommend it, but definitely have a plan for the wait and for what you'll order once your table is ready.

Had a wonderful late night sushi dinner....everything was delicious. I do recommend going later in the evening so you don't have such a long wait. Devin was our server and was awesome and was on top of everything and constantly on the go. Will definitely ask for him the next time we are there!!!!!!

So much hype and no follow through. Disappointed by our experience. We were receiving food that we didn't order and not receiving what we did order... and the service was so bad. Wouldn't come back here.

Long wait, no reservations accepted! Make sure you plan ahead. Once you get in it's a whole different ball game. Food was good and the kitchen to table time was acceptable being such busy restaurant. Definitely worth returning!

Food is good for all you can eat. The fish actually tasted like good quality fish. Service is good too they were good about coming around and checking on us. But I have to give it three stars because the music was overwhelming. They are playing trap club music and it makes you want to eat faster which I think is the point.

Food and service is always good! The new owners did a great job at updating the interior of the restaurant. We have been a handful of time since they opened.

One of the best nights! My recommendation..First off they open at 4:00 pm- but show up early, we were a family of 5 & showed up 20 minutes before the doors opened. BUT worth it!!!! Because the people that showed up 3:50 had to wait 90 minutes. Food was fresh, delicious, fast! Food: the spicy miso ramen, pork bun, lamb skewers- alittle bit of everything- completely worth the $30 each Service: Robot servers made us laugh, the humans were great too! Wished they sold the serving dishes/chopsticks/chubby fish teal branded items as merchandise— I would SO buy sets for our family to enjoy at home! Will be back for a family nice of AYCE sushi and more!

This place was great, we'll definitely be back! The wait time wasn't bad. We got there at about 6:25PM and they were packed. Joined the waitlist as a party of 2 and got sat about 30mins later. The staff were super friendly, tables/floors were really clean, lighting was bright (not in a bad way), and the decorations were fun to look at while waiting on the next round of food. That said, we didn't have to wait very long for the food as they had about 5 or more chefs on the line behind the counter. Our orders came out correct and looked great. The cheese wantons seemed like they may have been sitting for a bit before they got to the table, but they were still good! The techno-ish remixes being played were very loud but we could still speak to each other comfortably. There was one or two times where I had to lean in closer and ask the server to repeat what they had said, but it wasn't a problem. The food was awesome! We were actually surprised at how high the quality was for the price and location. I honestly expected tough pieces of sushi, rolls that fell apart, or portions that were primarily rice with small pieces of fish. Happy to say that I was wrong. This place was actually better than quite a few sushi restaurants we've gone to on the west coast. 4/5 only because of the following nitpicks. They're pretty trivial though... -the available beer choices at the time were Corona or an IPA. They were out of every other type of beer, so I stuck with water. -Would've liked the sushi rice to have slightly more rice vinegar in the mixture -It'd be nice to see more Sake choices on the menu.
