Rave reviews had a jump on the bus from Tivoli in Vail village to Lionshead. In a non-descript building, we found this perfectly named restaurant. Standard-fare breakfast. We loved that it opened earlier than the others at 7am. You can get in right away early and there is a wait list on-line and it tells you what place you were in line.

My husband was having a hip replacement at Vail. I had driven him to Vail but had not had breakfast since he was not allowed to eat before surgery. I went to the Little Diner which was quite busy. However, I sat at the bar and ordered from the breakfast menu. Service was great, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this little place.

We came back twice during our short trip to Vail. And probably the best breakfast food we found in town. It's so comforting that we already planning to swing by this little diner on the next trip to Vail.

Great diner. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices were reasonable. Couldn’t ask for anything more….well maybe better signage to find it!

We went to the Little Diner in Lionshead for breakfast and we were no disappointed. Pancakes, French toast, Creamed Chipped Beef, Omelettes, etc. They also serve lunch dishes. Make sure to go early in the day, they close at 2:00 PM. This is a great place for tourists and we saw a lot of regulars there as well.

We had a little trouble finding this hidden gem! So...park in the Lionshead public parking, take the elevator down to the in town bus stop and it will take you minutes to get there. Save yourself some time and join the online waitlist, you can see how many people are ahead of you and how long they have waited. This restaurant doesn't seem many but is so cute and seems frozen in time. We looked at reviews and decided to go with the eggs Benedict, upgraded our hash browns to cornbeef hash...which I highly recommend. They also have a killer Bloody Mary! I'm a Bloody Mary Connoisseur, I make my own mix and have been told I need to bottle it and sell it…so for me to give a Bloody Mary any accolades is a high standard. The staff was friendly, kind, and prompt service. I would wait an hour if necessary to hit this place up again. Pictures include: Eggs Benedict, with corn beef hash substitute, and their bloody marry.

This is a good place for breakfast-the coffee is hot, portions are plentiful, the food is very good. They have a good vegetarian selection and will gladly substitute a serving of avocado for any breakfast meat. They do not take reservations and folks were lined up before 8am for breakfast service to begin.

Seriously I just will never tire from a splurge at the Little diner. For starters, the mocha latte, it's always worth it. A mandatory move is always to substitute a pancake for the toast, The pancakes here are top notch, seriously. If you're into buttermilk pancakes, these will not disappoint. Whether you go with the taxi driver, an omelette, or The Ranch Hand, everything is spot on. The waitlist system is even perfected, you can go online and just add yourself to the waitlist without having to be there in person, on the super busy days so you can just time your morning so that you aren't waiting to be seated for as long. Pictured: biscuits and gravy, comes w hash browns. Poached eggs. Veggie omelette, also comes with hashbrowns. We substituted the bread for three dollars extra to get a buttermilk pancake which is amazing.

Ate here on a Sunday morning after a 1 hour wait for a table. Waitress got drinks to us fast and took our order quickly. We all had the "taxi driver" and it was fantastic. Will definitely make this my new breakfast spot in Vail

We went for a breakfast before a hike and had a wonderful meal. The omelet was perfectly cooked and the Dutch Baby was a real treat! Very friendly and helpful staff. We had to wait but I was worth it.

Great for breakfast. Had to wait for a table but it was totally worth it. Omelet and Eggs Benedict were delicious. Service was good even though very busy. Well run.

We all enjoyed our breakfasts. They have a great selection of breakfast favorites! The service is prompt and friendly. The food is better than expected. And overall it was very enjoyable. We got there early so there wasn't a wait. But there were lots of people waiting when we left. You can get on the waiting list in advance by going on to their website.

Hop-pen diner with full breakfast and great service. Get there early on weekends and sign in and be prepared to wait a little bit.

It took considerable effort to find this diner. the food was good and reasonable for Vail. We did have difficulty finding it as we were new to Vail. Fortunately someone helped us out as the map provided at the information office was not helpful.

Can't be beat for that morning cup of Joe with eggs, pancakes or whatever. The lunch menu has enough to keep you interested. Beware, the "Little Dinner" is small so sometimes there is a wait, but it's worth it.
