Rough! Used to love Elways but not sure when degradation in quality began. Looked forward to the annual visits on the ski trips. Sorry to say but the ribeye was just not prime standards. Although cooked correctly, tough cut. Staff was attentive, efficient and very hard working.

Elways was great! Food and service outstanding. Price was about what you'd expect, and for the quality of food, I'd say it's excellent. Would be great to get some light instrument music playing in there / or a live musician.

The waiter was so slow and never checked in and we had to ask to order entrees, took forever for our bottle of wine to come.... Then The host asked us to move to the bar because our 2 hours were up.... We had to speak to the manager because I totally get a time limit in a table but when the service was super slow it doesn't make sense.

Dinner was fantastic! Celebrated my husband's birthday and everything was excellent from the service, ambiance, and food. We each had the filet and it was delicious. The best steak we've had in a very long time. As a Vail Valley local, we look forward to returning back soon. Highly recommend!

We arrive at 8. Table was ready:) Then a couple of drinks were ordered but not all orders taken? At 9 finally food order was taken. We got food at 945. Most of the meat was dry and over done . Sent some back Waiter said it would all come out again in 10 minutes ! By this time we are were hungry, angry and tired! Finally able to leave after much asking for the check @ 1030 I am a regular Elways customer at all 4 locations and this was terrible. The sommelier was even aware and said call back to the manager later ? What happening here?

The prices are high for the quality of the food. The wedge salad had very little dressing and flavor. The bone in rib eye was good but not great for $77. Mashed potatoes were very good and shareable portion. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

Outstanding food, atmosphere, and service. We spent one week each winter skiing and always have dinner at Always in Vail. Best steaks in Vail, and yes I've had steaks in most of the competitors in Vail l. Dragon, our server is one of the best that I have ever served me. Don't miss Always Vail

My NY steak was not tender. Poor cut of meat. We were charged extra for anchovies on a Caesar salad. Really? Should be standard ona caeser. This is supposed to be a high end steak house.

It's expensive, but in Vail everything is like that, it's delicious, great service

We arrived at the restaurant, and the hostess stated, “we have a special table for you.” She sat us near a table of about 15 (which is fine). The table of 15 arrived. There were about 8 tween/teen girls that ordered one basket of fries to share. They were on their phones, screaming/giggling, getting up and running back and forth to show each other the content on their phones (while the adults did nothing). It got so loud that my husband and I couldn't even hear each other. It was distracting and ridiculous. I'm not sure what was “special” about this table. At this point, someone should have asked the girls to remain seated. They were blocking the servers from coming back and forth to the area. Even our server agreed that “romper room” was too loud. The calamari and beet salad were GREAT! My husband ordered the ribeye, and it was mediocre. The sea bass tasted very “fishy.” Our server was absolutely fantastic (given the circumstances)!

Had dinner on a Thursday evening for a party of 4. We had made reservation about 3 weeks prior to ensure a good table since it was a special occasion. We called to request a corner table twice. When we arrived hostess sat us in a booth which wasn't very comfortable and said they had nothing else. This perplexed me because we had reserved so far in advance but we settled for the booth to avoid a wait. Our server Bojan was very attentive and friendly. His helper Julieta was also very friendly and made sure to check on us regularly which we really appreciated. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and took some time to chat with us about the wine we ordered. Two of us ordered filet mignon which were cooked perfectly however; I ordered the ribeye charred and rare on inside (Pittsburgh style) but when I received the steak it was not charred and inside was more of a medium plus. Bojan quickly corrected the matter and had another steak made for me. When it arrived it was as I had ordered it originally but by that time the rest of our party were almost finished with their meals. It did take quite long to have another steak made. For dessert we had chocolate cake which was delicious. We were celebrating two anniversaries but no effort was really made to acknowledge this occasion especially with the delay in recooking steak we certainly thought a complimentary dessert may be offered. Overall this is a decent place and service was impeccable but with so many other choices especially in Vail area one would think that if a restaurant calls themself a steakhouse more of an effort should be made for steaks to be cooked to perfection the first time they are ordered. If we return it would be because of the great service we received from Bojan and the others assisting him but kitchen staff should really address these issues to ensure more of a flawless experience.

We really loved our meal at Elways. Steaks, apps and sides amazing. Wine list is extensive and the som was very helpful. Service was attentive and dining area was appropriately upscale without being stuffy or sterile. We look forward to returning for lighter bites at the bar - the burgers and soups also looked delicious.

My wife and I went for an early Valentine's dinner. Everything was excellent, the wine, the appetizer, main dishes, the service was fantastic. However there was a large party next to us with about 10 small children. The adults were seated on one end of the table, and the children on the opposite end. The children were screaming at the top of their lungs, throwing glasses, silverware, menus, and anything else they could access on the floor. They were clearly disturbing every person in the restaurant, and yet their parents made no attempt to control or discipline their children. I feel the manager should have or could have asked to speak discreetly to the parents about this, but I only observed wait staff interacting with their table. When they left it looked like a frat party had been held there.
