Best kept secret in Vail…Welcoming, cozy dining atmosphere… Really great, diverse menu with generous portions. Prime rib is best anywhere but the other entrees are amazing as well. Authentic apple strudel for dessert.

Always consistently good prime rib. Have been coming here every year for the past decade with every ski trip. Restaurant does not disappoint. Bone marrow appetizer amazing. We did have the best service this year with Kostiantyn. Attentive and caring about our dining experience.

A dinner at Lancelot is always something we look forward to. Their prime rib stands on top compared to any other restaurants we've visited. The Chili Garlic Shrimp appetizer is a relatively new discovery for me, and it's fantastic. And their owner and staff are wonderful. We come to Vail for the skiing, but if we stopped skiing, we might have to come to Vail just to visit Lancelot.

The food was amazing.Service was slow.We were a party of 6. We were told that we could split the bill among 3 credit cards. I looked to see if it was stated anywhere that gratuity was automatically included. It did not state that. When we handed our server the cards we told him that we were leaving the tip in cash. He said OK. Then we each wrote “cash” on the tip line. The next day we noticed that we were each charged an additional 20% for gratuity. I find that to be sketchy behavior. Clearly we did not intend to leave a 45% tip. Instead of saying OK when we told the server we were leaving a cash tip- he should have informed us that we were each going to be automatically charged an addition 20%.Our bill was $419.00 and we left $88 in cash plus were charged another $90 on our cards. So beware!

We split our bill 3 ways with credit cards. Wrote cash on the tip line and left a generous cash tip. Our credit cards were all charged an additional 20% for gratuity. There is nothing stating that 20% will be automatically added to your card. I expressly wrote on my receipt Cash in the tip line. The server should have said something. The service was definitely not worth a 50% tip.

We live locally in Vail and often forget about the popular tourist restaurants, but Lancelot is such a solid gem! It's been in Vail forever (1969?) and for good reason. You know when you go to a restaurant and it's just a well oiled machine. Lancelot is dialed in. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was friendly, the manager (I assume manager) welcomed us and our server was top notch. The food is 10/10. It's a perfect old school vibe.

I had a solo date night with myself as my husband was staying in Steadman Clinic after a scheduled surgery. I made an early reservation and the hostess gave me a lovely table. My server was very competent , considerate, and cool about my leisurely meal. By chance they had received a few Chilean Sea Bass as a Special which, I ordered. I must say it was one of the best quality Sea Bass filets (FRESH) I have ever eaten; also cooked to perfection. They also have a nice selection of wines and after dinner drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dining experience. It's very popular; everything is good; reservations a must in order to get in!

It was packed on a Saturday evening and we walked in without a reservation. They did everything to accommodate and it worked out. Grateful for the service and delicious dinner. It's one of our most fav restaurants in the

The food was fine; the service was terrible. Our waitress effectively bailed on our party of 2 after realizing we were a low-value ticket only ordering 2 entrees and no drinks or desserts. We had to ask for our check a second time 10 minutes after asking for it the first time, after seeing her walk by our table several times to help other tables. Then after waiting 10-15 minutes with our credit card sticking out of the bill fold and watching her pass by several more times we had to literally carry the bill across the restaurant and confront her with it. Then it took her another 10 minutes to process it. All the while she was attentively helping other tables around us. All in, it took at least 30-40 minutes to get out of this restaurant from the time we asked for our check. This was a normal (non-holiday) Monday winter night. We are pretty reasonable diners and understand how servers can get overworked but this seemed like an intentional diss by the waitress to deprioritize helping us. We will not be returning to this establishment.

The service given by the entire team, especially the host, was wonderful. All three different entrees were appreciated by the diners. I especially enjoyed the Colorado striped bass The Apple streudel is the best I've eaten. Naturally the dining area was full. Therefore, the noise level is high but expected with a happy, pleased crowd.

Last minute dinner reservation. Very happy with everything. Service and food were excellent. Cozy atmosphere. Vibrant setting. Casual attire. Families and older people. Good mix. Bar has TVs with sports on.

Chic cozy classic Vail ambience , outstanding food- every fis but the the striped bass was particularly outstanding. The service impeccable. Our server Ken was one of the best servers I have ever encountered - extremely attentive, so polite, warm, friendly & an amazingly upbeat attitude towards his guests despite being very busy that night. Our new favorite Vail restaurant !

I've been coming to Lancelot for over 30 years and the best word to describe them is consistent. Their prime rib is always perfect. We also had their bread, spinach salad special, caesar salad, Lancelot cuts of prime rib, crème brûlée, and brownie with ice cream. Everything was delicious. In the past, I've had their wiener schnitzel and veal ambrosia, which are also excellent. You won't be disappointed. The service is always excellent and their pricing is very reasonable for Vail and what they're serving.
