The food was great, but the service left a bit to be desired. With that said, it was at the end of the season so I’m sure it’s better earlier in the winter. Would try again for sure, reasonably priced, the a la carte options were refreshing to see. I went with the grilled shrimp, spring salad and sticky rice, which made for an interesting combo. Would probably order the calamari and Brussels sprouts next time. Would try again, just not a great first take

We had dinner here our last night in Vail. Service was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the seared halibut and the seared Ahi tuna. Our server, Marianna, let us know that the tuna is flown in 7 days a week and I was sold. Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Excellent dinner. Both the French onion soup and Clam chowder were nice. For the main, I had the Miso Chilean Sea Bass and my wife the Barbequed Scottish Salmon both of which were very good. Service was good. Nice stop.

When in Vail, be sure to make your reservation to dine here. The menu is unique and delicious. My favorite is the Scottish Salmon. You will never be disappointed dining here. Sorry, no photos this time... but don't miss dining here.

We visited Montauk twice during our stay. Food was delicious. Our server, Alex, was so great that we requested him for our second night of dining. They were very accommodating through out the entire meal. We will definitely dine there again on our next trip to Vail.

We had a great server his name was John we waited a bit for drinks but was very attentive and apologized. He also described each of the meals very well and also a bit how the chef cooks very jovial guy and attentive

We had an excellent dinner on Thursday with 4 people.everything was on point. Must try the mussels and an order off bread to dip into the delicious sauce . The lobster tail add on was HUGE and buttery! The steaks were cooked perfectly. Our server was so attentive..I wish I remembered their name to give props! We will be back!

What an excellent dinner experience! I love Montauk and it's definitely one of my top 3 favorite spots in Vail. Don't be scared to have seafood in a landlocked state - Montauk NAILS it. I had the Sea Scallop Carbonara and the scallops were grilled to absolute melt-in-you-mouth perfection, nothing tough or stringy about it. The pasta was creamy and delicious. Raw oysters on the half shell? Yes please! My boyfriend had the King Crab Legs which were phenomenal, and they also slit open the legs for easy access to the meat so he wasn't struggling to crack them. The cocktails were fresh, the wine list seemed great (I don't have extensive wine knowledge), and our waiter Jon was amazing. He really treated and took care of us which truly makes or breaks a dinner. When you're ignored and expected to get in, eat, get out, it makes a huge difference to the experience. Jon took his time to talk to us, made sure everything was good, and threw in a little decaf espresso at the end of our meal. Don't knock the decaf! It was superb.

Very disappointing dining experience. We having been coming here for over 20 years but will not be returning. First, the ambience of the back room we were seated in was not conducive to an enjoyable meal. Very loud with bright overhead lights and tight seating. Tough to carry on a conversation over the noise once the room filled up. The miso Chilean sea bass was served on a burned frittata that was terrible. We told the waitress and she took $13 off the bill but you don't come to a place like this to eat mediocre food. The grilled scallops were served cold. Too bad because we previously considered it one of the best places to eat in Lionshead.

Excellent. The food is so much more refined than the menu indicateurs. We had a few oysters, delicious salad, swordfish and scallops, a fantastic Vermentino... what a meal. Service was great but we did feel à little pushed out at the end. Turnaround....
