Went with a large party and had a great time, but a few food items - such as the elk chili - I would not recommend!

During lunch today, my wife and I observed the staff making it extremely difficult for a family to place an order. This family were made to look stupid, while the bar staff blatantly ignored them and served other customers (who arrived after them). After being patronizingly ordered to wait at the side of the bar, the father was then rudely advised that they would be “thrown out” if he, his wife or children took their food outside. I’m not one for writing reviews but I am truly appalled out how the bar staff treated these people . I have no idea why they were treated this way but it was very unpleasant (and concerning) to see.

The bar tenders were completely out of order. They are here to help and instead of helping and being gracious they threatened our party to be thrown out if we took out to the patio. We had seats at the bar and the people eating were eating at the bar. Never coming back. Pete and ?

What a shame! This used to be a good and special place. Food and service have fallen apart. Someone please take some interest in fixing on mountain food.

This place used to be awesome years ago, but I guess they got a new chef who screwed up the menu, there's no burgers at all, the $35 chicken sandwich is a weird non breast meat, no beef carpaccio anymore, no truffle fries appetizer,. Not sure if the new chef thinks he's in a different type of environment, but it's sad what they did to the menu. Also, no more slippers which was one of the real positives of this place. Oh well, the barbecue place and other restaurants are better and half the price.

One of the best veggie burgers I've ever had, the aubergine was melt in the mouth and so tender. Served with a massive portion of truffle fries. Shame the restaurant is so expensive, our bill came out to over $200 for four people to have a main dish and one starter to share. Our server was lovely and attentive. But what really sells this place was the insane views and lovely atmosphere on the mountain. We didn't reserve a table and we managed to get one, but in future i would reserve.Vegetarian options: Aubergine burger was fantastic. A few salad options too.

Nice atmosphere, and a nice view. However, the service and food is not up to the prices. We got there early, and one hostess said we could sit early. Later, the next said we had to wait 3 minutes for our table. It was open the whole time. We asked for the burger to be medium rare, but we told they could not custom make the food due to the number of menus. For those prices, I would expect they can custom cook a burger.

Truffle fries, mushrooms soup — a lot of flavors, you will like it!But I asked for Caesar salad with grilled chicken, the latter was toooo cold, while it supposed to be grilled. It seems it was fridged chicken

I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good with a lot of ‘comfort food’ options on the menu which were perfect for a cold day, like pot pie, chili, etc.The only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced; and the cost for those not skiing to take the gondola up the mountain to mid-vail seemed a bit outrageous. It was $60 round trip on the gondola just to go eat at the restaurant; and some of the prices for lunch were high, like $33 for a bowl of chili, $30 for a burger, and $30 for a pot pie.For the one time visit, it was worth it, but I don’t think it’s a place you would eat at every day if skiing here for several days.Parking: This is 1/2 way up the mountain at mid-vail. Nowhere to park! ?

When does this restaurant open for the new season? I'm not able to get hold of them for a reservation

Came here in between trips up the mountain, while on a Ski day at Vail, and although they had no seating, the place was packed and had a very classy and fancy atmosphere.Luckily, nobody was paying attention to us, soaking up the warmth and sitting on the benches where people generally wait to be seated for the restaurant. We went over to the bar and ordered some cocktails, I got an espresso martini, and my friend got the aperol spritz. Personally, I prefer my espresso martinis without Bailey's and not so creamy, but the flavor was good and the bartender was very sweet. She was nice enough not to force me to have my ID and was excepting of a photo since we had a locker at the bottom of the mountain and it was not easily accessible. The prices are exactly what you think, decently hi, almost $20 for a cocktail, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a place like this. I'm told that the bar seating is first come first serve so it gets pretty competitive. To be safe, if you want to eat, make a reservation as soon as you know you're coming to the mountain. Cheers!

The 10th is an iconic place on the mountain. The food is excellent, last time I had the elk chili which was fantastic.Depending on where you sit (bar vs Restaurant) and the day you are there, service can vary.

Unfortunately they shrank the menu a bit (I really miss the mussels), but this place is great!
