Didn't expect the best Cajun food being I'm from Louisiana but my order was horrible.. definitely not 60 bucks worth quality or quantity. I had the seafood basket. The "catfish" was almost like rubber, the oysters tasted like it was caught out of a pond in Westminster and everything thing else was burnt. I also ordered gator bites and they were actually good. Maybe just a bad day but my first experience is a big NO

Catfish bites used to be the best! Popped in there 2-3X a month for them. They are not on the menu anymore but you can still get them. They came out rubbery, soggy and seemed undercooked. We sent them back for a little more time in the fryer and got a fresh batch cooked the same way. Must be a batter issue. Maybe why they aren’t on the menu. Entrees were okay but not hot. They weren’t busy, we were the only people in there.

My boyfriend and I were looking for something new to try for dinner, we wanted to expand our horizons. We decided to try The Lost Cajun. We ordered the large fried platter and the alligator. Food came pretty quick, but was not appetizing or did not look appetizing. The fish was dry and rubbery, the fries were soggy, and the coleslaw literally had no flavor. The service was not great either, my boyfriend had requested some lemon and we never got it, we also didn’t get checked on but 1 time. Honestly, for the price, the food was not worth it. We paid $56 dollars for our meal to not be as pleasing as we were hoping. Feeling a little disappointed.

Great food and friendly service! Jambalaya had the perfect amount of kick and the 1/2 Po Boy was more than enough for lunch.

The food is downright delicious! I went in March for my birthday and everything was superb (the food was perfect, the service phenomenal and the atmosphere was brilliant). It was also a weekend evening. We went back on a week night and it wasn't quite and hopping atmospheric wise but it was a nice quiet dinner and conversation was flowing. The service was impeccable and I love the waitress we had (she is from Alabama but lived in Louisiana for a bit). Spectacular service, conversation and personality! The food was slightly different the second time which is likely due to a different chef. Nothing serious just a difference. And the traditional dessert's were amazing!Get the Cat-toufee if you like catfish and crawfish and or etoufee.Kid-friendliness: Great space for kids (noise wise and they can walk around). Solid food choices too!Parking: About 150 spaces among 5 businesses which makes parking a breeze on weeknights and pretty easy on weekends

Food said time it would be ready at this specific time it obviously was sitting there longer and it all was soft and super salty . Beignets were chewy and had little to no sugar on them. Over all $67 worth of food was not worth it at all. Highly disappointed due to the reviews being misleading

I haven't been since Covid and decided to go in today. The fish was disgusting, it was thin and rubbery and tasted under cooked. I let the waitress know to which she gave me attitude and said, " no one else has complained about the fish." I told her great but I didn't like the fish, then she told me she would see what she could do. Well she came back and said all she could do was either remake the fish or give me 25% off, I asked if she could refund me to which she said she had to wait for the owners response but she couldn't take the fish off my bill it was either I took the 25% or they remade it. I had her remake to see if it would taste better and it still tasted disgusting. I decided not to say anything the second time because the waitress was already so rude and at this point and was doing nothing to make the situation right. She got super defensive like it was her restaurant rather then listening to her customer. The only thing I had eaten was the gumbo and jambalaya but some how you guys can charge me for a catfish plate I didn't even eat? I would not come here if you want poor quality food and service, especially if they will charge you for the plate you haven't even eaten because the fish is not edible. The waitress Bernadette made the experience horrible and she didn't even deserve the tip I left here. I won't be back!

Really bad. The food seems like they are trying to be as cheap as possible. Both our meals were some of the worst we have had in Denver.

Spent $90 today and received over cooked greasy food. No tastes to any of it. Only thing good was fries. So sad, really wanted it to be good. Will not be back

Ok place.. suffering from lack of wait staff like every one else. Food was okay..I guess if you're used to international food, eating American food just isn't very interesting. Nothing really to complain about but nothing to rejoice over either.

We DoorDashed this last night with excited anticipation. I KNEW this was going to be GOOD!OOOOH! The disappointment ?My daughter ordered the gumbo. She literally had 3 shrimp and NO sausage. She liked the boudin though.I ordered the chicken sandwich, fries a side of red beans and rice and beignets for dessert.Over all the food was BLAND. The fries were seasoned but a little bit undercooked. But I felt since the red beans and rice had rave reviews the meal could have been saved. Alas….no. The only thing I tasted was the scortched scrapings from the bottom of the pot. ?. The beignets had a thick layer of powdered sugar on it that came off like a block of chalk?.I don’t know if you’re appealing to a palate that’s never had Cajun food before but some changes should be made in seasoning. There is so much potential in this type of restaurant. The food should represent the depth and richness of the culture not a “reasonable facsimile” of it. Don’t be afraid to add flavor. Just some constructive criticism.

We drove all the way from Fort Collins to eat here, we did a to-go order and the experience was TERRIBLE. The hostess was super sweet and helpful, however the cook was unprofessional and chaotic for lack of better words. As I was placing my order the cook rudely says “it’s going to be awhile”, you could tell he was STRESSED. I said okay, not a problem. Once getting the food the hostess offered to check to make sure everything was good, to which she noticed our seafood plate was missing all of the important things (shrimp, etc). She brought it back and the cook added what was needed, and we left assuming everything was okay. Upon opening the food we barely had ANYTHING. For the seafood plate we got two tiny pieces of shrimp, NO oysters, and two small pieces of fish. We asked for Cajun sauce which we didn’t get either. The chicken Alfredo plate was also tiny, barely any chicken. Such a disappointing experience as we always had great experiences at the location in Fort Collins when it was around. To top it all off, it was very expensive so we were certainly expecting something different.

This restaurant is very short staffed. Ordered food at 6:30pm. Waiting well over an hour and still have not received food. Received 2 orders of three, one hour and fifteen minutes after ordering. Third order 1.5 hours later. Lots of food going out for take out orders and numerous other tables waiting for their food. Two wait staff and three cooks. They are extremely apologetic to their short staff. They are turning numerous people away as they come in. Staff will be working hours after restaurant closes.

As a native Cajun from Opelousas, Louisiana, the food ordered was on point as authentic cajun cuisine. Looked the atmosphere, cajun music playing, and the available menu items. Service was outstanding. It felt like southern hospitality at its best.
