Buffet was delicious such a great mothers day. Would love it if they brought back the Buffet on a regular basis.

Great restaurant for people with food allergies.! They do take food allergies seriously. There's an option to "make your own omelet". The omelets are huge, tasty, and the perfect ratio of eggs and whatever you choose to go in it. Such good food!Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for people with dietary restrictions, especially food allergies.

The Log House has been a long time favorite for decades. Family owned and run the whole time. I've eaten there for more than 60 yrs. Quality food at a very reasonable price.

Meh, old greasy diner food" that's outdated. Staff is mostly nice. The place needs updating, or a good scrubbing.

Food was yummy. We asked for no onions and there were onions on the food. That was the only disappointment.

Our favorite cozy breakfast/lunch spot. It's a typical diner with friendly staff and some classic favorites. When we go on trips we always try to make a point to come through here on our way home. (Truthfully it's also a great hangover fix) If you're on the search for a small town diner with small town charm, this is the place for you!

Loved this place. Classic family owned business in Connecticut with great tasting food and friendly staff. Kinda smells like your grandma's house since the building is a bit older, and the decor is more aligned with the wood paneled 70s country house. 10/10 place to stop coming back from Bradley Airport or a trip through town. 3/5 atmosphere only because it's literally like eating at your grandma's and some people may or may not like that. For me it's a 5/5 for everythingParking: Plenty of space for parkingKid-friendliness: It's a classic diner so there are plenty of safe food options and booth seats. Please do NOT let your kids run around though, I can't say the staff wouldn't be upset with you.

My wife and I have been visiting The Log House for a year now when we camp up in the area. We love the atmosphere and the food is great! The portions are just right and the gravy and biscuits are the best. Usually it's seat yourself so we say in the big bright room on the right. They have a buffet for special days like Father's day. Make a day of it if your headed out near Barkhamsted, stop for breakfast and visit the little town of Riverton! Enjoy life!

This place has changed over the years couple years ago. They were very very good. They seem that the quality went down and they don't have staff to help throw about when you go and who's cooking it and who's there I still would recommend them.
